AGI solution to Grandstream BT102 call waiting problem
I'm trying to fix a problem with the GrandStream Budgetone 102. I've been reading the source code, mailing lists and other resources. Here's the scenario and the approach I have been pursuing. I'm having some problems with the AGI calls and I hope someone can give me some clarification.

asterisk console mode
Hi folks,
I use safe asterisk to startup and run asterisk in the background. In
Safe_asterisk script, there is a parameter (right at the top ), CONSOLE
which I can set to no or something. If it is no asterisk startup as
asterisk -vvvg , if it is set to something the asterisk startup as
asterisk -vvvg -c.
Now I am running an agi script when calls get hung-up. That is in my
extensions.conf I call

Asterisk Perl AGI
Hello everybody:
This could be a stupid question, or may be not; I'm not sure 'cause I have not a very wide experience working with Asterisk, actually I just started last week. I need to make an IVR system work and I choose working with AGIs, written in Perl.
The available documentation I've found show it as a very simple proccess, but it doesn't work for me... and I

After Dial execution, using DIALEDTIME, ANSWEREDTIME
Hi,
I noticed that when dial terminates it does not return to the dialplan,
and therefore can not execute any entry after Dial().
Is there any trick to overcome this limitation ?
How I am supposed to handle the returned vales DIALEDTIME, ANSWEREDTIME if
I can not execute anything after Dial()?
I made a workaround with DeadAGI (below) but it is unreliable: if 2 calls

rails and dojo
Hi all, I am currently expereimenting with integrating dojo into a rails
app. It''s easy for anything related to DOM manipulation. But I couldn''t
find out how to use dojo.io.bind for ajax form submission. Dojo must be
serializing differently than prototype. Has anybody expereince with that ?
Maybe JSON-ize the form ?

Full_Name: Mike Miller
Version: 1.9.0
OS: win2000
Submission from: (NULL) (134.68.121.109)
The docs for make.names imply that the result of
make.names(c("a and b", "a_and_b"), unique=TRUE)
should be
"a.and.b" "a.and.b.1"
when it is actually
"a.and.b" "a_and_b"
The docs do not reflect this very major change in

password change using XP
I see on the list that it is possible to change the samba password using
ctrl-alt-del in windows. It looks to me that there are two senarios where
this can take place.
1) when windows box and samba server is a domain member or PDC
2) and/or encrytion is turned off on the windows box and possibly no
domain membership at all.
This what I have been trying to do.
No domains at all. Where XP has

AGI Delimiter in 1.6
Hi
I am currently using 1.2.x and 1.4.x behind OpenSER. One of the things
I do on INVITES is to re-authenticate the user from OpenSER. Then when
the INVITE gets passed to Asterisk I capture the AUTH to a variable in
the dialplan and pass to an AGI script. I am now trying to set the
same thing up in 1.6 However because the argument delimter in 1.6 has
changed from pipe to comma this breaks as the

If I have a MySQL table with dialing codes and a corresponding
description (see below) and I want to lookup the best match for a phone
number.. What would the SQL look like to do it? or would it take more
than just SQL to get to the best result?
Thanks..

IAX peers and NAT
Help, I'm stuck. Lost in the woods.
I have one Asterisk running on FreeBSD outside on the Wild Internet.
One on the safe inside, behind a NAT firewall.
The inside server registers with IAX to the outer one and can place calls.
The outside one can't register to the one on the inside, since it can't be reached
on the private network.
Now to my problem:
