Dial-In/Out Modem Zap Channel Config. Adtran 750
I've been trying to get a Win 2000 RAS server working with my asterisk PBX for quite some time, to no avail. I've googled, I've tried loads of configurations, I've rewired phone lines, and still I am not winning the battle. Here's my config. PRI->T400P->Asterisk->T400P->Adtran 750(L36 Firmware)->RAS Server. I have 4 Zap channels signalled FXO_KS to the 750

Adtran TA750 Noise
All, I need help. I have an (actually 2) Adtran TA750's with 8 FXO ports. I get a terrible buzz on every FXO port. If I unplug the Adtran and put an analog phone on each incoming line, I have no buzz. I also have 2 Carrier Access Access Bank I's with 12 FXO ports. When I plug the same analog lines into either one of those, no noise or buzz whatsoever. I went so far as to move the TA750

asterisk solution.
Hi All, We have a Avia Difinity G3R to a Avia EPN connected through 2 dedicated T1 dsics, can I use an Asterisk solution to replace the T1's? If so can anyone give me feedback on what components I should be looking into to help me get started? Thanks in advance, Steve.

Adtran TA 750 FXO Groundstart Mode
I am having a problem using the Adtran 750 FXO quad card with a Groundstart trunk line. I am able to receive calls on the trunk line, however dialing out is not working. The Adtran does not seem to be doing the signaling. Has anyone used the 750 FXO card in Groundstart mode? Any special configuration issues that I should be aware of? COnfiguring an * system for a non-profit organization
Hi, Maybe someone has seen this before... I've installed a new T100P, but it doesn't seem to work. I've attached the T100P to an Adtran 750 using a crossover cable. The Adtran shows a red alarm on the T1 interface. The Adtran has been set to factory defaults with FXS cards in 1-3 and an FXO card in 5. The T100P shows no signs of life--the leds are not lit. Should I be seeing

Adtran 750 DID question.
Hello All, I've mostly solved my DID problem from a few days ago. Apparenly the lines weren't configured properly. Now heres the next question. 12 E&M wink lines from telco. I have them all plugging into an Adtran 750 with FXS cards. The Adtran ports are configured DPO. How do I signal this from Zaptel. I have them setup E&M in zaptel.conf and EM_W in zapata.conf. They

Help 60Hz Hum?
Hey guys, I am trying to diagnose a hum in my FXO lines I am using an Adtran 750 with 8 FXO ports. I am getting a pretty bad hum on the line during a call. I have checked the Telco side of the 66 block and there is no hum there so it's my problem to fix. I have tried to lower the gain but that reduces the call volume to much. Where else should I be looking? Setup as follows Dell

FXS Solutions for modems and other non jitter tolerant devices
In the past we have used Adtran Atlas 550's to break out FXS ports for devices like modems. The great thing about the 550 is that internally it is all TDM so there is absolutely zero latency. We are able to use ATA's for faxes and analog phones but devices that use modems, they fail 99.99% of the time when using an ATA. We tried to migrate to TA908 devices; they have FXS ports built

\ Adtran Channel Bank? - Email found in subject
Jay, I have had a lot of trouble with the FXO ports on Adtran TA750. Unless the incoming POTS lines have a balance impedance, they will buzz very bad. Gregory P. Hard Ground (On Ring)
We have been experiencing static noise on one of our phone lines connected to our Adtran Total Access 750 which is then connected to a T100P card. I was convinced that, after rain storms, the static would get worse, it was surely a problem of Verizon's. Verizon sent a field rep out today and he told our secretary (I was busy) that there was a hard ground on the Ring portion of the line.

PSTN line quality
I'm looking for some input from someone with real experience of telephony. I am having problems with the sound quality on our PSTN line calls. Our channel banks are Adtran 600 and 750 and I spent a lot of time on the phone with Adtran trying to work out the problem. We are getting hum and noise and very low volume on calls. I can increase the gain in zapata.conf but that increases the echo

User picks up phone, hears another call, not dialtone
First of all - Many, many thanks to Mark for his troubleshooting and fix of bug 1320 (FXO_KS signalled Zap Channels on Adtran 750 Channel Bank Stuck in Rsrvd State). I have heard complaints that once every couple weeks, when a user picks up their analog phone (t1 span off of a TE410P into an Adtran 750 with 6 FXS cards), they don't get dialtone, but instead, hear another conversation.

Optus Australia Multiline SHDSL service
Hi, I am currently trying to find a replacement for a dinosaur PBX and want to replace it with a VoIP solution. We have just moved our lines over to an Optus Multiline from a Telstra ISDN Onramp 30 service with 100 lines. My question for you good people is what sort of hardware do I need to interface Asterix into the Optus Multiline? The Optus service is terminated in my office to a SHDSL

Channelbanks
Ok, the Zhone sucks and the Adtran 750/850 seems to be a little too expensive. Can anyone recommend a decent channelbank that won't break the bank? TIA, -- Troy Settle Pulaski Networks http://www.psknet.com 540.994.4254 ~ 866.477.5638 Pulaski Chamber 2002 Small Business Of The Year

Woodpeckers Revisited
Just when I thought I couldn't be wrong, I was wrong. We have woodpeckers that drill into the arial telephone cables, and water seeps through the holes and partially grounds the tip and/or ring wires causing hum. I thought the hum/buz on my lines was a telco problem. The Qwest HQ noise team assures me that my lines are within spec. Sure enough, when I listen on the test set the lines

sip tone question
Hello All, We are running Asterisk on a linux server as a SIP proxy with Cisco ATA 186's at the subscriber end. For long distance we have iax2 connectivity with a ip carrier. For local calls we are routing out through a commercial VEGA voicestream pots unit to an adtran channel bank and then from there to our class 5 soft switch. The sip to sip calls and the long distance calls work great.
