GSoC - Theora multithread decoder
Hi all, I apologize to not keep you up to date to what is going on with my project. Portavales has worked in a desk behind me and when we go to take coffee we talk about the project. Second I didn't know we have to discuss weekly, it was my fault. I should have read the rules. Sorry. At the first month, I studied the code and the Theora Beta implementation. The code is completely different

long command line cut in 2 parts
Dear group, I have this command line in a function: zz<-merge(transform(merge(value,allcon,all.y=T),SHORTDESCRIPTION=NULL,VALUE= NULL,PL=-VALUE*pl,quantity=NULL),PosB,all.x=T,sort=F) I want to cut it in 2 lines (just for convenient purpose). Here is what I did : zz<-merge(transform(merge(value,allcon,all.y=T),SHORTDESCRIPTION=NULL, +

GSoC - Theora multithread decoder
Hi, This email is to inform what I have been doing since the mid-term. After the mid-term I worked on a pipeline implementation with OpenMP. As I said before I did a pipelined implementation of these functions: (c_dec_dc_unpredict_mcu_plane + oc_dec_frags_recon_mcu_plane) and (oc_state_loop_filter_frag_rows + oc_state_borders_fill_rows) as explained in my previous email. But the results were

Debian + Samba 3.0 + Mac OS X 10.[2-3] -> insufficient privileges
hi all, I've read trough the list and see discussions with similar problems. I've setup a file server and users can connect to it via SMB/CIFS. Windows users just happy. The problem starts with the Mac users. All Mac users are using OS X (versions 10.2,10.3). I'm vetoing several files right now, permission inheriting turned on, I've forced the create mode and directory mode to

How to set `unicodePwd`? "it's not allowed to set the NT hash password directly"
Hi, I'm tying to set user's LDAP passwords using LDAP. `samba-tool user setpassword` does so by setting the write-only `unicodePwd` attribute, but turning it into binary and Base64-encoding it first: ``` if not isinstance(password, str): pw = password.decode('utf-8') else: pw = password pw = ('"' + pw + '"').encode('utf-16-le')

Synchronizing passwords to Samba 4
Hi, I'm trying to synchronize user accounts from LDAP to Samba 4 AD (using LSC) but it seems that password update through ldap is not allowed. I failed to find details about it, but can someone confirm that unicodePwd cannot be read / wrote trough a LDAPS connection ? Is there any workaround ? One more QoS question for RH9
Hi I know this is a bit off topic, but still pretty interesting. I'm running Asterisk on my Linux router/NAT/FW connected via cable (1mbit/200kbit) to the internet. Now, I wanna do local QoS implementation. Just very simple to give RTP (UDP) highest priority on my outbound interface. So, whenever I got an ongoing call, the RTP traffic should be handled first and other data (file transfers

Shows that as the MCU increases, the OpenMP extra overhead is amortized and OpenMP becomes as fast as the pthreads implementation. The last chart http://lampiao.lsc.ic.unicamp.br/~piga/gsoc_2008/systime.png Shows that both pthreads and OpenMP overhead decreases as what seems to be a logarithmic function of the MCU size. This was a great experiment, and from what I can conclude, the OpenMP

Migration to samba4 ad and sync to openldap.
We are currently running samba3 nt4 domain controllers using smb-ldap-tools. We want to convert to samba4 ad so we can run new versions of windows server. I know of: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Migrating_a_Samba_NT4_Domain_to_Samba_AD_(Classic_Upgrade) But that would break us by moving all ldap to the ad ldap. We have lot's of stuff in ldap. Currently administer using ldap account

Theora running on FPGA
Great news! Theora is running on FPGA. After almost a year of a great effort we have Theora validated on FPGA. Now I will try to integrated the hardware with a video controller to see the video! I completely implemented the ExpandBlock, CopyRecon, LoopFilter and UpdateUMVBorder functions. The ReconRefFrames function was partially implemented and the part before will run on a software compiled
