Grandstreams phones can't call out with the latest CVS, anyone know what the last good CVS date was?

FYI to all you Grandstream users out there. I just fetched and installed the 1.0.5.0 firmware, and it appears they have removed the option to either do or not do SIP registration. Now it appears that one is going to register with the server specified in the "SIP Server" field, without any ability to disable it. Bug or feature? Just thought I'd put this out there and see if

Idle curiosity: I like the look and feel of the Grandstreams, but it's been my experience that the speakerphones suck (esp. when compared to the pretty damn flawless Polycoms). I've used the BT-100/101 and GS-2000; have any of their newer models changed that? I just downloaded the zip file from grandstreams website to upgrade my gxp2000 firmware from 1.0.0.3 to the latest but seems there are some files missing on the zip file... As a follow up to my previous post, I have now identified what is causing the bug with the grandstream phones. When the line faxdetection=incoming is in the zapata.conf file, the grandstream phones will not ring, nor connect a call to the zaptel interface. Can anyone else confirm this bug? Hi All We have Grandstream 102's running ver X.18. When hanging up after a call has been made the grandstream seems not to disconnect the call and when you put the handset down the phone rings only to pick it up and be on the same call. The solution to the problems with the Grandstream 1.0.4.39 firmware is to use inband (in-audio) DTMF. Neither the RFC2833 nor INFO seem to work. However, this presents another problem. When I'm using g729 to place a call, I get the warning "Unable to process inband DTMF" because inband is not supposed to work with g729 (although it does seem to work when I've tried it so far).
