WINXP Messenger SIP Client (Good News, Bad News)
I found this information on how to make XP have a dialpad in Windows Messenger which was awesome news HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MessengerService\CorpPC2PHone (change it from 0 to 1 and a magic new choice to make phone calls appears) only to be crushed hours later when I realized It doesnt seem to do dtmf right. August 5th, 2005: Craig Southeren announced today that OPAL (http://www.voxgratia.org) now provides support for the IAX2 protocol(Written by Derek Smithies and released under the MPL). This support allows you to use chan_woomera (http://www.pbxfreeware.org) driver developed by Anthony Minessale II to interconnect your asterisk systems and use the IAX2, SIP, and H.323 protocols. New Module app_perl
I just made my first 2 modules for asterisk (The 1st one is depriciated already). I was annoyed that i couldn't get GotoIf to take any expressions besides a boolean then i made a module to mimic gotoif and parse a few expressions like (${var} > 12) exten => 1,1,gotoif_expr,${var} > 12:1|4:1|5 Then I immediatly obseleted it with this new embedded perl module that lets you

Data transfer
Hi, im a student and we are devloping a training sytem for radio operators (for ships, police, ...) at our university. So far we are using a simple own protocol for speech and data transmission, works well at a Lan. Now we are looking for a way to connect the devices over the internet. I did some very quick testing with Asterisk and PJSIP [1] and it looks very promising. Apart from the voice

Multiple Registers
List, Does anyone know how to limit the amount of registrations that a sip user can have? For example, I have 2 softphones that I use on my laptop & desktop, both use the same username & password. If I have both softphones up at the same time, I can make simultaneous calls with each of them. I know you can have call-limit=1 but in this case, I want to allow them to have 3 way calling

Re: app_valetparking.c for * STABLE (1.0.X)
Nope ! This is the one that tries to include PRE 1.0.X header file <parking.h>. It cannot compile on * 1.0.X (I have tried also to include <features.h> instead of <parking.h> (as far as I know features.h is successor to parking.h), but still without results). Thanks anyway. Adding an Event on chan_sip.c (asterisk 1.8.22)
In some situations I got the following message on asterisk console: * Autodestruct on dialog '857128833 at 192.168.2.129 <857128833 at 192.168.2.129>' with owner SIP/1015-00000002 in place (Method: BYE). Rescheduling destruction for 10000 ms* I would like to raise a manager event, to take some action when it is happening. To do so, I believed that was just a matter of adding an

Developer Conference, Aug 5-7, Chicago
Question: is anyone planning on going to the Cluecon convention this year? (www.cluecon.com <http://www.cluecon.com/> ) I'm hoping to go this year and I'm hoping to meet other OSS telephony users and developers. BTW, Anthony Minessale said that there is a need for Asterisk speakers, so if you're an Asterisk user (or expert) and you're in the Chicago area in early August

res_perl with asterisk 1.4 compile problem
Dear all, now we have the same problem of res_perl compilation with asterisk 1.4. It is the same problem that was present when asterisk was upgraded to version 1.2. I hope Anthony Minessale will be able to solve that problem as he did on that case. But if any of you know a hack to this problem please let us know. Here is the same compile problem again: gcc -Wall

[LLVMdev] Two questions about pass managers and passes
Hello All, I have two questions, one more of an implementation question, the other more a design question. First: I noticed that if one moves the FPPassManager::doInitialization(Module) call from FPPassManager::runOnModule to MPPassManager::runOnModule (which is the new location I am aiming for to avoid the need for a doInitialization/doFinalization outside of the run methods, as preferred by

xcp-storage-managers with iSCSI on wheezy
Hi, I'm trying to build a XCP environment based on wheezy and iSCSI storage. When I try to add a iSCSI SR I get the following error: The SR could not be connected because the driver was not recognised. driver: lvmoiscsi As I couldn't find the driver in /usr/lib/xcp/sm I took a look into the package itself and saw that the driver exists in drivers, but is not listed in the Makefile.
