Call Parking and Paid Digium software modifications
Hello, I'm considering paying Digium to do a modification to Asterisk so that calls can be parked on specific user-defined numbers(transfer to 701 and it's parked on 701, transfer to 702 and it's parked on 702) instead of the way Asterisk currently does call parking(transfer to 700 and then it tells you where it put the call 701-720). What would be the price range for this feature to

re: Polycom IP501 with Asterisk - distinctive ring
The answer is yes, I think, but I don't recall precisely how off the top of my head, and I'm walking out the door in a moment. The phone will hold more than a dozen distinct ring tones which you can create for yourself, and you can have asterisk direct it to use a ring tone independently of line appearance. The most direct way would be with the SIP Alert-Info field, but the phone itself

Asterisk parking hold and transferdigittimeout
Hi, anyone out there with the same problems and a possible solution to the following? The functions callparking and hold use the same transferdigittimeout in features.conf. While I think 3 to 5 seconds are enough to let the user "find" their keys on the phone, the double ammount of time ( 2 x 5 secs) you have to wait before a call is parked and the parkposition is announced, is

Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 22, Issue 1
Hey, Thanks for the input Andrew. I did all you suggested but noticed that when I did the loopback test, the output *was not* there as you mentioned ("I'm set to pri_net, but the other side thinks it is pri_net!"). In fact, the same message as before kept repeating every second or so: >> Unnumbered frame: >> SAPI: 00 C/R: 0 EA: 0 >> TEI: 000 EA: 1

Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #2120 - 14 msgs
In response to the postings by Andrew Kohlsmith and Ernest W. Lessenger: Andrew, I modified the exten line in extensions.conf as you suggested. Unfortunately, It still does not work... Ernest, I spent approx. 4 hours reading list archives (and anything else Google served up) on how to configure iax.conf and extensions.conf to work with Voicepulse. Then, I sent an email to voicepulse

In-band disconnect problem (legacy PBX) - as terisk doesn't hear t he touchtone?
> -----Original Message----- > From: Andrew Kohlsmith [mailto:akohlsmith-asterisk@benshaw.com] > Is the channel physically being hung up before the * tone is heard? Good question. If it is, Asterisk doesn't detect it -- the PBX doesn't support Kewlstart-style disconnect notification. The sequence I hear on the extension, when I plug in an analog phone, is the click of the

Asterisk 1.8 not playing parking slot announcement to parker
Just upgraded to 1.8, we use the multi lot parking feature by dialling *4. We are not getting the parking slot announcement being played to the person who parks the call, so it's impossible to tell which slot they've gone into. Could someone check our config? On Debian Squeeze using packages from http://packages.asterisk.org/debsqueeze main (Asterisk 1.8.11.1-1digium1~squeeze)

Driving MWI on Norstars (was Maximum tollera ble lag/jitter...)
At the moment we're not - the email notification from Comedian Mail has been mostly sufficient. I do however have some Dialogic D/42-NS PBX emulation cards and the plan is to use them to set and unset the MWI lamps based on events pushed out of Asterisk. They may be obsolete hardware but they came in real handy for extracting the voicemail from the old StarTalk NAM too. Take a look at the

Re: teliax [Was: LiveVoip is Bankrupt]
For outbound only, I have traditionally recommended VoipJet. They just recently has a spat of issues that seem to have resolved though. I am still using them via their east coast server and it seems to work quite well again. Cost is around 1.3 cents minute I believe. Use IAX and g711 for best quality to VoipJet. R: Hyperthreading?
That's the problem we had with Asterisk and HT on a 2.4 Kernel: whenever Asterisk was staying in the RTP stream, and HT was enabled (on a Dell Dual Xeon system), we had choppy audio. After disabling HT, everything was fine again. Nothing measurable, indeed, but you could definitely hear it. So there *must* be something. -Manuel -----Messaggio originale----- Da: Peter Corlett

Réf. : Re: Net rpc vampire : NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
Hi all, Thank you for your help, and sorry for my late answer. Everything works fine by now ! Yes, you have to become a BDC to vampire the accounts ! This is why I was getting an "Access denied" error : I thought my Samba was a BDC, but I forgot to add "domain logon = Yes" in my smb.conf, so Samba was a simple share server. Here is the steps I followed to suck the accounts :

Polycom call parking feature and Asteriskcallparking
When you use the Park button, on some phones you have to hit "More" to get it. Then when you park it, it calls back and tells you the extension...so you have to hang up then pick up again. Callpark apparently is a valid extension! Bill -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Stephen Bosch

Call Parking on 7960
Hi all, I've got a fairly minor question, but it's getting on my nerves .. hopefully it's an easy answer. I'm having trouble parking calls on our 7960s. It works fine on ZAP devices, though, and they're both using the same context. What I do is: When I'm on the call, I hit More, Transfer, 700, Dial. I then get a fast busy. If I dial 701, for example, I do get the

asterisk call parking + SNOM lighted buttons?
I'm trying to get call parking working with the lighted buttons on the SNOM 200. I have set the 5 buttons to "Park Orbit", for extensions 700-704. Pressing the first button (x700) does park the call. However, the remaining buttons (x701-704) don't allow me to pick up parked calls, or show parking status via the LEDs. I can only pick up parked calling by manually dialing the
