net rpc rights grant fail to connect 127.0.0.1
Hello Friends!
I start from zero again to configure ad-dc and ad member file server.
In ad-dc way seems all working well
In *ad member file server *maybe I did wrong configuration. Checking now, I
add symbolic link of *libnss_winbind*. But, symbolic link it is only for
Samba compiled. I did not compile samba, I use the samba package from
distro.
Can be this affecting the command: *net rpc

Why don't you submit to the sourceforge feature request queue as a
patch? That way it will be there for anyone who wants to hack on it.

merging multiple diskettes for pxelinux usage
I have some hardware vendor diagnostic utilities that I'd like to use
via PXE. One example is a three diskette test suite. How can I merge
all these diskettes into a single PXE bootable image?
I have been using pxelinux, memdisk, and isolinux successfully for other
things, so I'm a little embarrased even asking. Is there a way to PXE
boot ISO images? Can syslinux support larger than 2.8MB

Partial, Table Layout, Multiple Controllers/Models... DRY?
Hi,
I am almost embarrased to ask this and I am sure it has been answered
previously but the search feature is down on ruby-forum so I am not
finding the answer.
I have several controllers (leads, orders, activities, etc...). I have
a ton of repeated html in each of the views for these controllers. For
example, my list view has the same table/tr/td and for..in type of code
and it just

lots of icecast help needed
It has long been known that the nullsoft method of streaming metadata is a
hack. I like the Icecast approach much better but still I think that it can
be much improved.
When in doubt turn it off.
Two machines?? Have you tried the win32 source lately...?
Just a thought.

What will happen when disk(ext3) is full while i continue to operate files ?
I am sorry if you receive it twice. since the
mail-list said that i can't send mail to it unless i
become one its member.
hi,
My system will crash when the disk(ext3) is full
while i continue to launch 50 proceses to operate
files(such as create, rm, mv, ...). Does ext3 have
such a capability to stop journaling the changes when
it finds there is no space left? or which source file

Problems raised to 1/3 power and NaN
I am debugging some code and found a function that returns and error most of the time. I have issolated the problem to when it raises an argument to the 1/3 power but for the life of me I can not figure out why it is not working. i have gone through the FAQs and have found nothing (not to say I might have missed something). I am highly embarrased with my inability find the problem (my face is

Re: Please go elsewhere, I don't have time
[ NOTE: I'm putting this off-topic thread back on the Ext3 list,
temporarily, as I hope _someone_else_ can help this gentleman better
than I have. With each response I get 10 more questions, 5 of them
have already been answered and another 5 that utterly confuses me on
what he is trying to accomplish, because he's changing his
priorities (to often conflicting ones). ]

Hacked or not ?
Hi,
I have a 4.9-STABLE FreeBSD box apparently hacked!
Yesterday I ran chkrootkit-0.41 and I don't like some of the outputs.
Those are:
chfn ... INFECTED
chsh ... INFECTED
date ... INFECTED
ls ... INFECTED
ps ... INFECTED
But all the rest is NOT PROMISC, NOT INFECTED, NOTHING FOUND, NOTHING DELETED, or NOTHING DETECTED.
I know by the FreeBSD-Security archives that

named.conf: query-source address
Hi!
I fully understand and second efforts on educating people
how to configure BIND to be stong to attacks and keep them from using
"query-source address" with "port" option but how about
binding named to particular IP address when host has many of them?
Using "query-source address" without "port" is the only solution

No nonodump...
I'm not sure where else to ask about this, so please excuse me if this is
the wrong forum. In trying to remove a 'nodump' flag on a directory with the
'chflags' command I have noticed that the 'nonodump' flag does not function.
I see an open PR for the problem:

I was wondering when this might be dealt with? Else is
