IAXTEL/ Dial problem
Hello I am still having problems with IAXTELL and FWD configuration. I get the following when I dial 17009965342 which is set as an example to dial to FWD people. 1+700+99+ 5 digit number. I have placed XXXXX where my passwords are.

IAXTEL - Problem Configuration.
Ok folks I have another question. So far I have gotten my IAXTEL number and I have been able to make calls from my asterisk system to any IAXTEL number and even to FWD numbers. I also got FWD to work and I now can get calls to my main system. It's great when these things work. But when I call my own IAXTEL number 17005441100 all I get is a message saying the user is un registered or un

iaxtel and iax.conf
I have tried for over a month off and on to get iaxtel for inbound to
work... and tonight after alot of troubleshooting we noticed this:
iaxtel inbound will use the last entry in your iax.conf to auth against.
So if [iaxtel] is at the top and say [voicepulse] at the bottom. An
inbound call will try to auth against that [voicepulse] entry even with
the [iaxtel] entry at the top of the file. Has

Important: PSTN access-number for Dutch gateway changed
Yo all,
The PSTN access-number for the Dutch IAXTel <-> PSTN-gateway has changed.
The new number is: +31 20 3987 567. Calling from IAXTel to Dutch
toll-free PSTN-numbers is still done in the same way, by calling
"31800<rest of number>".
Mark: Could you please update your web-sites to reflect this
change? The old number is mentioned on "http://www.gnophone.com/",

IAXTEL toll-free gateway
I have been playing around with asterisk for a week or so now and
haven't had too much trouble getting things to work but one thing seems
to puzzle me. I have been patient hoping that there was a configuration
error on the server or that the toll-free gateway was down but nothing
has changed. I have the following configuration context for IAXTEL:

Sipura 2000 configuration.
Ok here is another problem I have run into.
I have a Sipura 2000 and I have been able to configure line 1 with only
one small problem. But I can't get the line 2 working with asterisk.
Here are samples of my sip.conf and extensions.conf. If I disable line
1 I can then get line 2 working. Is there a sample configuration for
the Sipura to get both ports working with Asterisk.

Help with setup IpDialog Sip Phones.
I just got 2 IpDialog phones for use with my Asterisk system. I have been able to get the phones to just dial local extensions but it is not able to register with my system correctly. I would like to know if someone has set these phones up before and how they did it! Is there any examples for use with Asterisk? They seem simple enough to config with there web interface.
Thanks

gnophone conf question
I hope this isn't something newbiesque and Steve will denigrate me. . .
I just built gnophone, and I'm having trouble figuring out just how to
sync the "Telephony Preferences" in gnophone and iax.conf on my asterisk
server.
I am heading on a trip and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be behind a NAT
gateway, and my asterisk server is *separately* behind a NAT gateway.

IAX2 Trunk two Asterisk boxes.
I need to get 2 Asterisk servers working together. I have been reading
and doing just about every example I have been able to find here on the
list and the Wiki. It's now gotten to the point that nothing on box2
seems to be working. I seem to have a major problem understanding the
format. Here is what I have so far. It's 3 days of hair pulling and
nothing seems to work!

gnophone and RH9 comments and questions
Hello, trying to get gnophone to fully function under RH9 and finally have the browser working from the rpm from 2001. Turns out I had to get an old Mozilla 1.2 version and alter the startup gnophone script to point to it (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME and LD_LIBRARY_PATH).
How much better is the CVS stuff? I cvs checked out the gnophone and the Changelog only shows a comment about 0.2.5 but no real changes.

Asterisk SIP calls failing - not a proxy? What of RTP codec transcoding?
I have an Asterisk 0.4.0 install working with two grandstream budgetone
100 phones, gnophone, and kphone. This is a private network segment
(172.17.x.x), with the PBX configured on my outbound firewall which has
a public address (66.x.x.x).
- I can make calls between phones - all extensions are working.
- I can make IAX calls to IAXTEL. No problems (apparently gsm only)
- I can call SIP phone

911 settings.
I would like to know if anyone has come up with a script for 911 dialing
rules that put correct information on our locations. We have our office
in 3 different building one being our production & shipping dock. It is
almost 2 blocks away. We are connected with Ethernet Wireless between
the buildings and have Sip phones setup in the other 2 locations. All
the phones are working just fine.

IAX2 calls through IAXTEL.com
I created an account at IAXTEL.com to route 1-700-XXX-XXXX calls
through. IAXTEL.com gave me a number (example) of 700-555-6226. I have
made the following changes to my:
/etc/asterisk/extensions.conf:

Using IAXTEL with RSA authentication. MD5 works, RSA not. [2]
[ Sorry, I incorrectly copied some Reference headers into this post
and tacked it onto the wrong thread. -Steve ]
So far, I have been able to receive incoming iaxtel calls via my
assigned 1-700-xxx-xxxx number, but only when using md5
authentication in iax.conf:
