Easiest virtual mail setup?
Hi. I wish to configure a CentOS 4.1 box to be a mail server. I'd like a setup with virtual mail accounts, using eg. exim, courier and mysql. Do any applications exist that already combine this in an easy to deploy manner (yum as far as possible)? I've seen XAMS.org but that's discontinued. Br, Morten

syncing imap servers with imapsync
hello list, I am attempting to sync two imap servers using the imapsync perl script. It seems handy and easy. Here's what happens when I try to do this: # # Postfix master process configuration file. For details on the format # of the file, see the master(5) manual page (command: "man 5 master"). # -o smtpd_sasl_auth_enable=yes # -o

Imap daemons for CentOS 6 (other then cyrus-imapd)
Are there any imap daemons (besides cyrus-imapd). cyrus-imapd is appearently not compatible with postfix + procmail. I need an imap daemon that will work with a postfix + procmail system. -- Robert Heller -- 978-544-6933 Deepwoods Software -- Custom Software Services http://www.deepsoft.com/ -- Linux Administration Services heller at deepsoft.com -- Webhosting

cyrus-imapd, sendmail and delivering plus address formats
CentOS-4.8 cyrus-imapd-2.2.12-10 sendmail-8.13.1-3.3 I have a mail hub which uses cyrus-imap with sendmail It has worked well for us on this and prior hosts going back to 1995. And, I do not have a problem with the current setup. What I would like to do however, is to deliver plus-formatted e-mail addresses directly to users subfolders in their mailbox tree. Such addresses take the form

Bug#442244: logcheck-database: should include the filters from cyrus-imapd-2.2
Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.54 Severity: normal The included filters for cyrus (/etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/cyrus) are very minimal. The cyrus-imapd-2.2 has a more extensive ruleset (there's a /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/cyrus2_2 file in that package). Please copy over the filters from cyrus-imapd-2.2. I'm running logcheck on a loghost, which doesn't run cyrus

cyrus-imapd - unable to connect to POP3
This is the first time I am using cyrus-imapd package. I am unable to retrieve messages (pop3). At first, I had not entered the cyrus-master in /etc/hosts.allow and was getting connection refused. After adding the entry I am able to connect to port 110 but for some reason the pop3 server is failing the password authentication (see below). With the same userid/passwd I am able to ssh into the

Hi I successfully installed cyrus + postfix on my centos 4.2 box. When trying to make imap idle working, I noticed that there is no idled executable in the rpm. Do I have to recompile cyrus from source to get idled working? Thanks

Cyrus-imapd update from 2.2.12 to 2.3.16
We are trying to move our mail store from a host running cyrus-imapd 2.2.12 under CentOS-4 to one running 2.3.16 under CentOS-6. The current host is a 32 bit architecture. The new host is 64 bit. We have followed the update guide found at: http://www.cyrusimap.org/docs/cyrus-imapd/2.3.16/install-upgrade.php The steps we followed were: 1. Install cyrus-imapd et al on the new host. 2. Modify

Problem building latest Courier-authlib on CentOS4
Upgrading to CentOS6 is on my list, but I'm trying to get the latest Courier-MTA running at the moment. I downloaded the current courier tarballs and tried to build the rpms on a CentOS4 system. Cyrus firstname.lastname@domain
I'm converting an environment from mandrake to centos, and always try to use the applications standard on the distribution. This means a switch from courier to cyrus. A bit of reading uncovered a potential problem - the site uses firstname.lastname at domain, and I have come across references that Cyrus does not support this. I couldn't find this limitation in the Cyrus

replacing Courier imapd
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi folks, I currently use courier imapd, exim and ldap on my mail box. There are no users on this box, all info is taken from the ldap server. I note that dovecot does not use ldap as a backend, but curious if this in on the cards, or even mysql backend. Sean - -- Sean Rima http://www.tcob1.net Linux User:

Zimbra, Scalix or something else..
Hello all, I've played with both Zimbra and Scalix and they seem quite nice and do pretty much what I want. I'm now at the point where I am considering retiring my trusty old courier-imap service in favour of one of these two, unless of course anyone has any other recommendations or suggestions. I'd probably be doing this inside a centos 4.4 Xen VMs running on centos 5 when it comes
