Asterisk success stories in small-mediumoffi ce environments?
Hello, I think I speak for many people here when I say we'd love to see the specifics of how you have your Asterisk network set up (phones/server hardware/Asterisk setup/...). inbound call routing problem - RESOLVED
Thanks we just figure it out a bit ago. It's amazing how simple some things are when you just ask - and then realized that you were making it too hard to begin with!! :-) Lane Hoskins, MCP Network Engineer 540.767.7626 -----Original Message----- From: Jared Smith [mailto:jsmith@drgutah.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 13, 2004 10:59 AM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re:

call pickup and ring groups
I'm having trouble with call pickups. Suppose ring group is 100 and has extensions 101 and 102. Someone calls 100, 101 rings and 102 wants to pick the call up. If 102 dials **100, call pickup works. If 102 dials **101, call pickup fails. In my dialplan I have: exten => **101,1,NoOp(pickup extension) exten => **101,n,Pickup(101) exten => **101,n,NoOp(pickup group) exten =>

Hidden bug in *8 call pickup with Sip
Hi. Seems that there's a hidden bug in sip call pickup with *8. If I pickup a Sip ringing phone from another sip phone on the very first ring (before the first ring completes), the ringing phone doesn't stop ringing, however the call is connected ok. But, if I pickup the call after the first ring, (after the first, the second, or during the second, or other silly combinations always

Parked calls - can't pickup
I have a simple asterisk install (1.4.18), and want to use call parking. I can successfully park a call (I see on the CLI that the call is parked to 701). Everything is pretty default. However, I can't pickup a call from another phone. When I dial 701 from a phone, asterisk can't find that extensions and notifies the person picking up that the extension doesn't exist. (It appears

Supermicro PDSME+ and TE110P [ ref:00D36mPe.50033qy57:ref ] NEW CASE 22828
Hello, Digium support kindly proposed to ship a TE120P card to help resolve the issue. I plugged in the card, and introduced the loopback plug. I cleared the red alarm for a while and then i started seeing alarm switching from Yel/Recovering to Blue/Rec with a lot of IRQ Misses. I call Digium that assisted us, and we noticed IRQ sharing with the VGA adapter and the Ethernet port. I changed

Call pickup and SIP phones
Hi List, I have two Cisco ATA, one of them with two phones attached, and the other with just one phone. The ATA with two phones is behind a NAT, and Asterisk and the other ATA have public IP addresses. I can place and receive and blind transfer calls between them all. (Sometimes I loose registration from the ATA behind the NAT, but I think I have to upgrade to the latest firmware in the ATA) Now

Not call pickup for call to sip from mgcp phone
Just by the way, do anybody knows if call pickup of a call to a sip extension from a mgcp phone is supposed to work (even if sip keeps ringing). The scenary is as follows: 3@mgcp02 (ext 136) calls sip/julia (ext 133) and after It starts ringing 2@mgcp02 (ext 135) dials *8. Nothing happens, only 135 gets congestion tone, 133 keeps ringing and in the asterisk console I get: --

Call Pickup problem in Asterisk with SIP phones
I'm having a tough time getting call pickup to work on *. Here's my configuration: X100P with T-1, channels 1-4 voice <---> * <---CISCO 7960 with SIP 6.0 Image A call comes in, and * picks up and presents a menu. Caller chooses extension, (in this case ext 103, SIP/wsmith) Wsmith is sitting in my office, hears his phone ringing, picks up my phone, gets dial tone, and presses

Snom programmable leds / keys usage for pickup groups?
Would it be possible to use the programmable led+keys on the Snom phones to signal that there is an incoming call that is ringing a call group or pickup group? We use this on our existing PBX if for example the accounting dept. is out for lunch but nobody can hear their phones. This way you can see an incoming call (and we hate voicemail) :) Thanks!

BLF/Call Pickup using SPA942, SPA962, SPA932
Hi all, There are a lot of posts around the web about my question; unfortunately I have not been able to get any of the solutions to work. I'm using Asterisk 1.6.2.8 under CentOS 5.5. I'm trying to get call pickup working for the secretaries that monitor their bosses' phones. The BLF and the speed dial works great on the Linksys phones. Call pickup is the problem. My features.conf

preventing voicemail pickup after SIP redirect ?
Hello, I'm using the classic [stdexten-macro] in extensions.conf whereby a call is picked up by voicemail after a certain ringing time. When programming a SIP phone to redirect calls (SIP 302 redirect) to another extension I'd like to avoid that voicemail pickup so that the call goes into the new destination's voicemail (if applicable). How can I detect that a call has been

Hi, Latest SIP firmware for Polycom 601 is 3.1.6. With this, is Directed Pickup supported ? At the moment, when an extension is ringing, I can see BLF turning to solid Red but I can't see it turning to Blinking Red.
