LineJack + Asterisk HELP!
Hello,
I have ISA card LineJack. I could not find any information
if this card can work as fxo with Asterisk. If it can work,
can somebody point me how to install it on my Asterisk box.
Or maybe there is some documentation about it how to install
LineJack.
I will be very thankful for any help.

Dell server for asterisk question!
I am planning to buy Dell 2650 server with dual Xeon processors.
And I would like to buy two TE410P cards for PCI with 3,3v.
This is on Dell site about PCI slots for Dell 2650 server:
3 PCI-X
(1x64-bit/133MHz, and
2x64-bit/100MHz)
Does that mean I will be able to buy two TE410P cards ?
Or I need to buy two TE405P cards ?
Thanks for help.

multiple apps one virtual host one domain
I''m trying to achieve the following:
Having a development server that runs multiple rails apps running wihout
creating a different virtual host for each apps.
my documentRoot is therefore /var/rails for my whole config
http://myserver/app1/controller/action -> (/var/rails/app1/...)
http://myserver/app2/controller/action -> (/var/rails/app2/...)
I''m under apache 1.3

getpgrp
These days, sshd.c has:
static void
grace_alarm_handler(int sig)
{
...
if (getpgid(0) == getpid()) {
signal(SIGTERM, SIG_IGN);
killpg(0, SIGTERM);
}
sigdie(...);
}
however (really) old BSDs do not have getpgid(). They do have
getpgrp(), which does what we want here. The question is what to do if
we have neither: return the pid (and thus

Problem in Poland
Hello All,
I'm having problems connecting Asterisk to Telco in Poland (using E1). The telco guys are saying that the RING message is missing.
How can I make Asterisk to send the RING message? Does anyone have any samples of zaptel and zapata for Poland?
Best Regards,
Alex

OpenSSH + GeodeLX + Linux + Cryptodev = Corrupted MAC on input.
Hello,
I just set up Debian Lenny on a PCEngines ALIX. This board have a
GeodeLX processor with hardware crypto accelerator, so I patched my
kernel to get cryptodev support.
Everything is fine when playin with openssl, but openssh just crash when
a large amount of data is transfered.
A small example:
alix:~# scp 100meg.test localhost:/dev/null
root at localhost's password:
100meg.test

Trouble compiling Icecast 2.3.1
It is almost certain to be the old compiler. Try upgrading to around
gcc-3.3.6. If that doesn't work, try dropping back to libxml-2.6.21 with
the upgraded compiler. Icecast 2.3.1 compiles wihout problems with that
lib and gcc on Slackware Linux with both 2.4.29 and 2.4.31 kernels.

Samba and disk quotas
Hello,
I've been searching the archives and, while I haven't found and answer to my question, I get the impression
the answer is no, but I would like to ask you guys anyway.
Is it possible to have Samba display the "out of disk space" dialog (or, alternatively, just
a warning dialog) when the soft limit is broken (as opposed to the hard limit)?
The reason for thsi is that I

Actions on Samba events
On the lines of the following post, is it possible to have samba
invoke a shell command along the lines of 'root preexec' etc.
for most of the useful Samba events?
This would allow very powerful and flexible customisation of
Samba installations.
The following query would then be solved by having smbclient
send a message.
A few events I can think of would be:-
Initial log-on.

Re: libgstreamer, slackware => libgconf.......???
Hoi, Mario and Alex,
Thanks for your ideas and I''ll be able to get ahead with them.
I dunno whether I am the only sole on linux planet wihout gconf or libgstreamer.... but I used the gem system of installing wxruby, which is a great tool. Of course I can give it a try to compile wxRuby myself (and hopefully not running into other dependencies when omitting Wx::MediaCtrl ) but, by

To make it work again I

Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #1380 - 15 msgs
You have the session target as the IP address of the router's own ethernet
interface. You probably want that to be the address of the Asterisk server
instead. I also highly recommend you use full duplex ethernet, as voice
packets don't really like to be restransmitted when a collision happens.

[LLVMdev] BasicAliasAnalysis: constant does not alias with noalias parameter
After discussing with Nick Lewycky in the IRC channel, here comes a less
aggressive patch.
We were worried that a constant pointer could alias with a GlobalValue.
Also, if one pointer could be a GlobalValue and the other a GlobalAlias
with the GlobalValue as aliasee.
However, I was not able to produce a test where this happens wihout the
getUnderlyingObject() returning the same value.

NAT working outbound with Asterisk and ATA-186 phones
Thanks, Mark!
Here's a summary of what one needs to do in order to get NAT working
with Asterisk. Please note that I have a Cisco ATA-186, and your
experience may be slightly different based on the equipment you're
using. You'll need to have a CVS updated version of Asterisk as
2003-03-06 ~2:00 PM EST.
NOTE: This currently works for outbound calling only, not inbound.
