Problems with H323/G729--No NATting and no Dynamic IP involved...
Hello... I'm having problems with H323/G729 setup. Below is the output of h.323 debug when making a call. I use a SIP phone connected to an * box in the same LAN. The * connects to a h323/g729 PSTN terminator through internet. Calls rings and are answered in the other side, but I get no sound at all nor the other side does (complete silence in both sides). I thought this would just happen

10-fold speed drop while transferring large files from Windows to Samba server
Hi All, I have a Linux box (P3-800MHz/196MB RAM/10GB+320GB) running Samba 3.0.22 server and a Windows XP (P3-800MHz/512MB RAM/200GB) client. The transfer speed (both ways) is about 5-7 MB/s when file is smaller than 700MB. For larger files there is a difference: when the Win client writes a file on the small Linux disk (10GB) the speed is as above. But when I copy, let's say, a 1.5GB file

auth service: out of memory
Hi, I have some out of memory errors in my logs (file errors.txt attached) I'm using dovecot 2.0.19, I can see some memory leaks fix in hg after the 2.0.19 release but they seem related to imap-login service, I attached my config too, is something wrong there? Should I really increase the limit based on my settings? Can these commits fix the reported leak?

Leaky dovecot-auth ?
Hello, as mentioned before, we are migrating our mailboxes from a 0.99 cluster to a 1.0.0 one. With 0.99 dovecot-auth (with LDAP as backend) was leaking quite happily and the dovecot-auth processes frequently did hit their size limit and thus were killed and restarted. Which in 0.99 at least lead to authentication failures on a busy server, as the dovecot master process just killed off the auth

mail-filter cannot work with large email about 700k
Hi All I configured dovecot 2.1.7 with mail-filter plugin. It works well for small emails like server k big.(7k) But it failed with larger emails about 700k. The scripts hang out, and the mail-filter-out process does not exist and always in ps. It does not work even I use "cat" in mail-filter-out.sh. Where to set the size limit for mail-filter? Do you know how to fix this? This bug

Bug#603391: Workaround PyGrub issue
Confirmed this issue. To reproduce: Install a fresh Wheezy AMD64 guest under Xen 4.1 (hypervirtualized, boot from the debian-7.1.0-amd64-CD-1.iso). Use "entire disk" automatic layout for partitioning, this creates /dev/xvda1 for / and /dev/xvda5 for swap. It will create /boot/grub/grub.cfg with many references to (/dev/xvda,msdos1) which works fine when the machine is booted

Ordering of stack in ggplot (package ggplot2)
I'm trying to reproduce the 3rd graph on the page of this site: http://learnr.wordpress.com/2009/03/17/ggplot2-barplots/ . However, the data below produces a ggplot with the stacks sorted in alphabetical order from the bottom up. I'd like the stacks to be in the order "Europe", "Asia", "Americas, "Africa", "Oceania". Is there an easy way to

simulation
I'm using an R program (which I did not write) to simulate multilevel data (subjects in locations) used in power calculations. It uses lmer to fit a mixed logistic model to the simulated data based on inputs of means, variances, slopes and proportions: ? (fitmodel <- lmer(modelformula,data,family=binomial(link=logit),nAGQ=1)) where modelformula is set up in another part of the program.?

rsync many small files
At our lab we have storage with many small files. For example a directory can contain over 15,000 files and each file averages about 75k. I would like to sync this to another filesystem on a different server but I am not sure if there is a rsync tuning flag I can use for such a intensive job. I am using rsync 3.0.3. Also, I would like to use little memory as possible. Any thoughts? TIA

[LLVMdev] Why is CLANG++ so freaking slow -- with example.
http://cornwarning.com/xfer/test.cxx.gz This is a preprocessed version of a file from from the VV image viewer package. I stripped out all the lines beginning in '#' and multiple empty lines. It's about 75k lines of code. On a Mac Pro, the unix 'time' command says it's using 249 seconds of user time. Wall time on my machine somewhere around 5 minutes? 249.035u 1.883s
