Zombie channels dropping lines
Hi all, We are running Asterisk 1.0.0 with a TE410P. Very often we exerience calls dropping in the middle of the call. I enable the full logging and saw a couple of suspicious messages right before the hangup. Thos could happen on a Zap-IAX2 bridge as well as on a Zap-Agent bridge... I see Nov 23 09:08:36 DEBUG[-1274020944]: Bridge stops because we're zombie or need a soft hangup:

TDM 400 hardware(?) issue
I am having to abandon asterisk after having used it for 2.5 years due to this problem. Every couple of days (sometimes more often, sometimes less), the machine will lock up because the TDM board or the Dahdi driver goes south. /var/log/messages starts filling up with repeated messages: kernel: TDM PCI Master abort The card I have is: *CLI> dahdi show status Description

[Zaptel] Checking that TDM card works?
Hello Since TDM cards are known for being particular when it comes to motherboards (PCI 2.2, etc.), I was wondering if there is a utility that can check that the Zaptel driver works OK and can tell if the TDM card is compatible? That way, if an FXO module is not reporting an incoming call, we'd know it's because of the Zaptel driver, and not something elsewhere. Are "dmesg",

AutoDialing with VOP USING SIPURA 2100'S
Hello all, I am trying to find out if anyone has a provider that is good with dtmf playback using a Sipura 2100? I've just dialed with voxee and the call goes through but when I press 1 my dialer does not " hear" it. My dialer is making the call using a Dialogic d/4PCI connected to the Sipura 2100 through voxee and I am calling my landline. When I pick up the landline

IAX to zaptel echo
Hi all, I am experiencing a problem with the quality of the voice communication between an IAX based softphone (WinIAX) and an outside line through a FXO port or even with a regular analog phone connected to a FXS port. The party using the IAX softphone hears his own echo a plit of a second after speaking. The party on the analog end does not experience any echo. I tried to modify the KFLAG

TDMoE in any way related to I-TDM
Hello all, recently i stumbled upon the I-TDM standard, e.g. see here http://www.picmg.org/v2internal/news2005.htm "SFP.1, also known as I-TDM (Internal TDM), is a companion protocol specification to SFP.0 that is optimized for TDM traffic over high-speed fabrics such as 1 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet (PICMG 3.1), Advanced Switching (PICMG 3.4), Infiniband (PICMG 3.2), etc. SFP.1 and SFP.0

tdm fxo users - new bug tracker entries
For those using the new tdm fxo modules, please review and add your comments to: Bug Description 1898 tdm fxo does not sense broken pstn line 1899 tdm fxo senses pstn line disturbances as ringing 1902 tdm fxo echo when calling from sip phone There is at least a suspicion on my part that bug 1902 might be related to specific "systems" that have not yet been diagnosed or

TDM-400 doesn't detect far-end hangup
Hi: I'm using a TDM-400 to terminate PSTN lines at my Asterisk server with kewlstart signalling. When an outside caller calls the server, the TDM-400 goes off-hook and provides a ringing tone to the caller. If the caller hangs up before the receiving party answers the phone, Asterisk fails to detect the hang-up. The TDM-400 stays off-hook, hogging the line, while Asterisk rings the

TDM-400P Sound Quality issues
I'm running a TDM-400P with 2 x FXS and 2 x FXO. I'm finding that there seems to be an odd relationship to sound quality on the card to my local when connecting via a SIP client. When I'm on my local network, if I connect to Asterisk via a SIP client (such as x-pro), and dial an outside line through the card, sound quality seems quite good. However, when I'm at a remote

issue with ivtv & wctdm zaptel drivers (TDM PCI Master abort)
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with my x86_64 machine containing a Hauppauge PVR-500 (ivtv) and a Digium TDM400p (wctdm, part of zaptel) PCI cards. Independently of each other both cards work fine, but once the wctdm driver is loaded and mythtv tries to record something on the PVR-500 the wctdm driver freaks out. The error message is see is "TDM PCI Master abort" printed over and

Wildcard TE405P and TDM400 - TDM not working
Im having a problem getting the 2 cards working together. I added the TDM with 3 FXO and 1 FXS board. The TE405p is working fine. THe TDM registers and identifies the FXO's and FXS but cant get them to go off hook. I hope someone can help. Asterisk seems to THINK its dialing it sends manager status as dialing, and it just sits there with no tones, on the phone dialing out. If I dial,

Mixing SIP/TDM in MeetMe
I sent a query about this before, but have some further information and am hoping somebody has a suggestion as to what to try next to debug this. I'm using an Asterisk box primarily for MeetMe conferencing. There are two sources: TDM via two Q.SIG T1's and SIP phones. Conferencing works fine between TDM channels. But when a SIP phone calls the conference, there's no voice path *to*

My TDM-400P FXO experience
A bit about my experience with the TDM-04 FXO. Only saw a few post on this subject, thought I would contribute a little about my experience to save others the hassle. a. As an earlier poster noted, the driver for the FXO is in the wcfxs module. Perhaps it should be renamed to something less confusing. b. You need the zaptel, zapata libraries from the cvs, the ones with Asterisk 0.7.2 won't

Digium TDM 400P and Dell 1750
Has anyone figured out how to power a Digium TDM 400P card in a Dell 1750 server? I opened the server and noticed that there is no access to 4 pin power to power the card. Is there some sort of adapter that I need to power the Digium card in a Dell Server? I see that the 1750 is listed on the Wiki. How have others powered the TDM400P in a Dell 1750?

TDM box Hardware
Hello all, Recently I bought a TDM02B digium card to conect to the PSTN. We pluged it on a Pentium IV 2,8 Ghz, Asus Motherboard, but when we try to start asterisk, the box hangs. Someone have the same card running with asterisk in a similar machine? Could you tell me your box hardware details? Thanks for your time, Ismael Gil.

How does TDM work?
How does TDM work, how do you connect to it? I have the impression it can't be routed like ethernet, but a cable from your switch has to be plugged into the providers equipment. I have seen the Asterisk info about TDMoE - does this mean that the Asterisk card will modulate the signal on the Ethernet cable to allow it plug directly into a proper TDM connection? Will someone please enlighten
