unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18/misc/zaptel.o
Hi all. I've been lurking here for a couple weeks just trying to get an idea of how to install asterisk. I'm running Debian with a custom kernel version 2.4.18. I think I've got all the dependencies installed - debian packages readline4 and openssl are installed. It's a very barebones install with only the packages relevant to building a kernel and asterisk installed. The

Impossible to compile last version of Asterisk
Hi, I worked with Asterisk 0.7 without problems until I tryed to load H323. I downloaded the last version and after some try I compile it. I followed the description in /asterisk/channels/h323/Readme and the compilation of this part was good. But the new compilation of Asterisk was impossible (problem with chan_h323.so). I search info with Google and I read that the problem could be with the

Cant compile asterisk #error "You need newer libpri"
Trying to compile asterisk (again) from scratch. I seem to be still experiencing the effects fro Jan 25 where I get no sip to sip audio. I have tried upgrading to 1.2.3 which has made no change in the problem. I am starting over and now trying to compile/install /trunk zaptel libpri asterisk following the instructions to grab the source trees: # svn checkout

Kernel/Asterisk/DAHDI/Libpri version matrix?
I googled about a bit without success, so... Is there a version matrix available? Something that would say: for kernel version w, you can run up to version x of Asterisk, DAHDI version y, and libpri version z? For example, I have a bunch of remote hosts running kernel 2.6.26, Asterisk 11.6.0, and DAHDI 2.7.0.1. We experience occasional Asterisk crashes, so I'd like to get as up to date

Build Error - ZT_EVENT_DTMFDIGIT
Hi, I've seen a few posts about this but no fix. Anyone able to help? Here's what I did: I configured a brand new machine with Redhat 9.0. I made sure that I had: bison cvs gcc kernel-source libtermcap-devel ncurses-devel newt-devel openssl1096b openssl-devel readline41 readline-devel zlib zlib-devel When I went to get Asterisk I did the following: cvs checkout zaptel libpri and

cvs asterisk compile failed (newer libpri)
I used: cvs checkout zaptel libpri asterisk asterisk-addons asterisk-sounds iaxyprov astcc and in the same order I try to compile it. Asterisk ends with the lines below. It complains of a newer libpri, but I just did it a step before! What do I miss? chan_zap.c:62:2: #error "You need newer libpri" chan_zap.c:128: error: parse error before '<<' token chan_zap.c:133:1:

Proper install order for Asterisk and it's related packages..
I've read a lot of conflicting information on this around the web, and wanted to see if I could get some thoughts for any of you.. What's the proper (or best, etc) build order for install Asterisk and it's needed libraries. Most often I see 1. Zaptel / Dahdi 2. libpri 3. Asterisk. However, I've see several references to installing libpri before zaptel is installed. Should

perhaps libpri issue (thought it was a dahdi issue )
I am current running on a production system zaptel 1.4.12.1 libxpri 1.4.1 asterisk 1.4.25 The above configuration works. I tried to update to dahdi 2.2.0, libpri 1.4.7 and asterisk 1.4.25 This did not work. calls came in but not out. I dropped back to the initial configuration. Today, I dried only updating libpri on the original configuration. I removed /usr/lib/libpri* installed libpri 1.4.7,

sig_pri.c:985 pri_find_dchan: Span 1: No D-channels available! Using Primary channel as D-channel anyway!
Dear; Thanks a lot for guiding me. Is it possible that the installation libpri-1.4.11.5 newer than the libpri-1.4.11.5-patch? Well, when I typed (note: I am trying to apply the libpri-1.4.11.5-patch for the libpri-1.4.11.5): libpri-1.4.11.5# patch -p0 -i libpri-1.4.11.5-patch It gave me that patched detected as shown below (example of one file, and I got same for other files): patching file

Which is the "newest" libpri/zaptel?
OK. I just grabbed libpri and zaptel via: cvs co libpri zaptel I compiled and installed and was unable to make outbound calls. Inbound was fine. (See my previous post about call length 0). The changelog in both dirs showed the version as 0.1.6. This "should" be the newest version of libpri and zaptel. Then I grabbed them via: cvs co -r v1-0 libpri zaptel Compiled and installed and

libpri and zap lib
Hello all, I have some questions about the libpri and zap lib. I've sent mail to Mark for help. Also I wonder whether anyone else would be interested and helpful in them. I'm going to migrate a program to Wildcard E400P card. Our original program is based on C API similar to the functions provided in libpri.h and zap.h, so I want to use the E400P card in the following way: 1. install and

Dears; To patch libpri: I just place the patch file in the libpri source directory and then I run make and make install? Or I need to compile the dahdi and asterisk also? If the problem stayed, do I have to go for previous libpri version? Or for previous dahdi version and asterisk version? Zaptel down after upgrade.
I tried to upgrade to 1.0.5 for libpri and all asterisk stuff to the last version. But now, my spans stays in RED Alarm. All seems ok, no error. Just no more links up I use a TE405P. Any idea ? I think it?s something from the old release that make conflict. So I tried to get back to previous version but I got the same problem. Not more SPAN UP Is there a script or something to
