NFS Mount - RH7.3 Server - CentOS 4.1 Client
Hi Just upgrading one of my dev servers - I'm replacing a current box that runs 7.3 to one that runs CentOS 4.1 Currently the 7.3 dev box talks to a fileserver also running 7.3 over NFS and that works fine. I'm now trying to get the CentOS 4.1 box to talk NFS to the 7.3 server. When i try and mount the NFS share on the CentOS box i get the following error # mount /mnt/cvs mount to

Looking for new hardware
Hi. I gave up with the IBM NetFinity, so I'm going to buy new hardware. I'm going to install: 1-)One X100P (1 FXO module) 2-)One TDM03B (3 FXO modules) I'll have the 4 FXO channels busy almost all the time, and I would like quality to be as good as possible without going to the high-level hardware. I would like to learn of some tested configurations (I've heard of problems

[PATCH 1/1] lua: Cleaned up the dmi table structure in Lua.c32 and added all missing DMI subtables
From: Hung-chi Lihn <hlihn at google.com> In the current Lua.c32 DMI implementation, it is a flat table with dotted names in table entries. It also misses a number DMI sub-tables. This patch, cleans up the DMI table structure using Lua's nested table structure and adds all missing DMI sub-tables. If a DMI sub-table is not supported by the hardware (not filled), then the corresponding

Unable to pass device to IOMMU
Hello, I''m hoping someone may be able to push us in the right direction. I''m trying to get one of our products to work with the current branch of Xen (4.0/4.0.0) but I''m hitting a problem. We are currently using Xen 3.3.2 on a Sun Blade 600 chassis (with x6270 blades) this works great. But when we upgrade to Xen 4.0/4.0.1 we get the following message when

100 analog phones?? HOWTO?
Does anyone know the best approach to take for handling 100 analog phones? It seems to me that a chassis like Carrier Access or Adtran would work. The chassis would do much of the hard work of converting the analog sound to data. Any recommendations on hardware for the chassis? ...Jeff

WD caviar/mpt issues
I know that this has been well-discussed already, but it''s been a few months - WD caviars with mpt/mpt_sas generating lots of retryable read errors, spitting out lots of beloved " Log info 31080000 received for target" messages, and just generally not working right. (SM 836EL1 and 836TQ chassis - though I have several variations on theme depending on date of purchase: 836EL2s,

syslinux.efi pxeboot across multiple subnets
Answer: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text, especially the archives of mailing lists. Question: Why is Top-posting such a bad thing? Dell PE600SC with ServerWorks CSB6
Hello! Has anyone gotten 4.9R to recognize the "ServerWorks CSB6" ATA controller on a Dell 600SC? How about installing 5.2R on a 600SC? 5.2R recognizes the said controller, but it corrupts data. -- eof

Motherboard and chipset compatibility
So, having returned from a month's vacation, I'm back to work on attempting to build a set of small form factor CentOS compatible computers. I've really tried to do my homework, but this doesn't appear (at first glance) to be at all easy. It's not made easier by the fact that I have to get it right the first time (and I haven't built a PC in a decade); the time and money

Serverworks HT1000 chipset drivers (Supermicro H8SSL motherboard)
Anyone using boards with this chipset? I've gotten some dual core single cpu boxes along with the physical dual cpu boxes I just received and they're using the Serverworks HT1000 (Broadcom 5785) chipset. My CentOS 4.2 DVD doesn't want to recognize the chipset so I can't see any of the SATA drives in the integrated SATA ports. Drives on 3Ware cards work as expected, but I

supermicro with asterisk and tdm cards
Guys. Anybody using supermicro mobos and chassis with TDM cards? I would like to know which models are you using (mobos and chassis and also CPUs) and how many TDM cards have you been able to put in without having IRQ issues like in other cases. Ive read supermicro servers play nice with asterisk but it is always good to ask I guess. Thx! AK
