Today's "frustrated programmer" award goes to Linphone, which has the
following debug output:

I get this message when I connect to linphone using a softphone, or when
I try to use linphone to connect to asterisk and listen to an

Minimum budget question ...
I've tried to figure out from the web site the minimum hardware cost to run a
small office Asterix solution but I'm afraid I miss something:
Let's say that I want to connect four/five analogic extension to the PBX.
I have:
- 1 computer as the server (with linux and Asterisk on it)
- 1 dummy patch panel to connect all the analogic phones around the office
What (and how many) cards

MOH different question
Is there anyway for a sip station to play MoH out of the speaker?
I know I can do it by calling the station and putting it on hold.
For example:
On a samsung pbx with MoH, if you goto one of the workstaions and press
a button
The moh plays out of the speaker.
Is there any way to do this with asterisk?

dtmf tone clamping in calls to external ivr
Hello,
I'm having trouble working out how to send DTMF tones to an external
IVR. My system has an analog phone connected to a TDM400P card, a SIP
software phone (Zultys LIPZ4) and is connected to a BRI in Australia
with a NETjet-S card. I'm using ISDN4Linux and a 2.4.25 kernel patched
with the ISDN audio patch from Traverse (which allows the card to do
voice).
DTMF works fine between

Problems With Booting CentOS on Dell T7910
Hello!
Does anyone have any experience with installing CentOS 6 (specfically,
6.8), on a Dell T7910? I've tried at least a dozen installs, everything
gets configured, and when I have the system reboot, I get 'No boot
device found press any key to reboot the machine'. In BIOS, I've enabled
AHCI, Legacy boot and modes, and enabled the SAS controller. The disks
are seen and

dovecot replacing uw-imap
Hey,
I'm trying to sort out how to make dovecot replace uw-imap cleanly. But
I have the following problems/questions:
1. Why is mbox support limited to user-owned directories?
2. Would it be possible to have dovecot target a different place than
~user/mail by default, specfically some place like
/var/path/to/maildirs/userdir/
I'd like to move all my mail storage out of user homedirs and

What is the best way to represent a category hierarchy using term prefixes in Xapian?
Assume I have the following example hierarchy:
US
>Michigan
>>Detroit
>>Grand Rapids
>>Lansing
>Minnesota
>>Grand Rapids
>>Minneapolis
>>St Paul
>Ohio
>>Columbus
>>Grand Rapids
>>Sandusky
I see two ways that I could index a ?Grand Rapids, Michigan? document with
prefixed terms:

XSECONDLEVELmichigan

iptables CLASSIFY and MARK not working?
I have to match my packets based on MAC address, which I cannot do in
the POSTROUTING chain, so I do it in PREROUTING using MARK. Then, I
match on the MARK in the POSTROUTING chain to do a CLASSIFY. But this
does not seem to work:
wireless-r1 bwlimit # iptables -L -v -n -t mangle
Chain PREROUTING (policy ACCEPT 3353K packets, 941M bytes)
pkts bytes target prot opt in out source

problems with tftp-hpa timing out.
I'm difficulty diagnosing a tftp-hpa problem. Specfically, when
performing a PXE boot, the machine hangs at the "TFTP...." and times out.
This is only occuring at one network location (we'll call it network A).
Now on network B, the computers on network can tftp boot no problem.
If I run a tftp client from my workstation to connect to the tftp-hpa
server on network A, I can

Skinny (SCCP) help
I have a cisco 7910 phone, I'm trying to get it to connect to asterisk,
But it seems like it needs either a SEPDefault.cnf file or a
SEPMACADDR.cnf file to
Continue, I created empty ones but it's still sitting there saying
"opening"
Does anyone have examples of the SEPDefault.cnf file?

What does class "call" mean? How do I make class "formula" into a "call"?
I have a list called "tabs" that I would like to have the same structure as my list "eqSystem." The two look like they have the same format but they are different because when I look at their attributes, class(eqSystem[[1]]) is "call" but class(tabs[[1]]) is "formula". I want to have class(tabs[[1]]) as a call too. So what does "call" mean? And how

Lattice: reversing order of panel placement in conditional histograms
Hi R-people,
I have a question about lattice in general, and histogram specfically. How do you control the ordering of factors that controls the placement of the conditional panels. I have a dataset with factors that go 'Q1','Q2',"Q3','Q5' and of course I want the plot to place Question Q1 at the top and Question Q5 at the bottom of the graphical output.

Samba w/o local users on Samba server?
Hi everyone,
is it possible to have a Samba server without creating local accounts
for users on that server?
Share level security doesn't count though. ;-) The idea is not to need
to create and update users on the Samba server itself (i.e. no local
users, no entries in /etc/passwd, etc).
The documentation says something about Domain and ADS level security
being basically just forms of user

[LLVMdev] DOTGraphTraits and GraphWriter
Hi Prakash,
I don't know of an easy way to do this, other than to use random-access
iterators so you can compute the distance between the edge and the
beginning of the list of edges.
