[PATCH] launch: rework handling of --enable-valgrind-daemon
Instead of forcing valgrind to be run when --enable-valgrind-daemon is
passed to configure, enable it only when the backend setting
"valgrind_daemon" is set. This allows developers to keep building with
--enable-valgrind-daemon, which unconditionally adds valgrind in the
appliance but using only when requested.
When --enable-valgrind-daemon is not passed (typical for release
builds),

[PATCH v2 1/9] build: Remove ./configure --enable-valgrind-daemon.
If you've ever tried to use this option, you'll know that it didn't
work well. It broke random things (probably RHBZ#1020216, definitely
RHBZ#1023630), and caused random failures generally, while often not
actually failing when valgrind itself found problems.
This does not remove the guestfs_internal_exit API. That will
instead be modified in a future commit.

[PATCH v4 01/17] tests: Introduce test harness for running tests.
We would like to have a more flexible way to run tests, including
running them on an installed copy of libguestfs, running them in
parallel, and being able to express dependencies and ordering between
tests and data files properly.
Therefore introduce a test harness (test-harness) program which can
run tests either from the locally built copy, or from an installed
copy of the tests (in

Seeking expert RoR developer in NYC area
I have a project for which I am seeking a partner to do the
development. You should be an expert in RoR, have time available for
development and looking to be a part of an unusually good business
venture.
With this project you will not have any annoying clients with no
understanding of technology, I am very adept at web tech in other
languages and can supply you business logic in terms of

Seeking through Theora+Vorbis ogg file..
Here's the problem:
I've rewritten large parts of the output code of cortado 0.1.0 with
the following aims:
1. output to something SWT-like instead of AWT.
2. Speed it up a bit.
In the rewrites I haven't restricted myself to java 1.1; the fact that
it uses SWT all by itself makes it useless for applets anyway. The
speedup worked very nicely; it's almost twice as fast as

[PATCH v4 02/17] tests/c-api: Convert the C API tests to use the test harness.
This involves some significant changes to this test framework.
In particular:
- Instead of just specifying $srcdir at the start of a FileIn
path, you can now specify arbitrary environment variables.
This is necessary to allow the tests to run from a tmpdir.
- Use COPYING instead of COPYING.LIB, and copy that file into
the test suite directory.
- Require the static binaries

Asterisk on UML (User Mode Linux)
What's the current thinking on running Asterisk in a UML environment? I
saw some discussion about Xen and asterisk on a Xen DomU.
I'm currently running Asterisk in a UML and have noticed poorer quality
on calls. I'm only using SIP and IAX2 trunks. No hardware adapters. I
guess timing is important, but even if I could get the provider to
install a kernel with the Zaptel Dummy timing

[PATCH v2] sparsify: Fix test-virt-sparsify-in-place-fstrim-unsupported.sh
Since Linux commit f663b5b38fff trimming vfat is now supported by
Linux. This broke the test which assumed it was not supported. Use
another filesystem (minix) which does not support trimming instead.
Thanks: Daniel P. Berrangé and Pino Toscano.

patch: two minor debugging-related pointer protection stack issues (PR#10832)
Full_Name: John Brzustowski
Version: R-devel trunk and R-2.4.0
OS: linux
Submission from: (NULL) (76.10.152.79)
Here are two minor potential issues in pointer protection stack (PPS) code which
could arise in debugging R with valgrind. Only the second could possibly cause
a problem in normal use of R, and only under laughably implausible
circumstances.
(1) valgrind is given a wrong address when

How can you buy R? [Broadcast]
My understanding is that if a licensee wants to redistribute GPL code (or
work derived from GPL code), then it has to be done under GPL as well,
meaning the person must make it known to users that they can have access to
the source code if so desired, and they can do anything they want with that
code (including selling), but GPL must remain in force for further
redistribution.

[LLVMdev] Debugging memory errors on linux...
This email isn't really LLVM specific, but is definately useful for LLVM
people so....
I've downloaded and installed "valgrind" (http://developer.kde.org/~sewardj/),
an open source "purify" replacement. It is actually quite a bit nicer
than purify is, as it doesn't require you to recompile or modify your
executables _at all_ to run them (it also seems quite fast).

Seeking ERD/Schema resources
Hi all. I''ve been working diligently through several of the popular
tomes on RoR:
- AWDWR
- Beginning RoR E-Commerce
- The Money Train (Benjamin Curtis)
I''ve learned lots, however these books cover selling one type of
product (i.e. a book). One thing is eluding me: I''m trying to develop a
schema for a music store that offers products with options (i.e.
Filetype, Length)

Writing Hangup causes to CDR record
Hi guys,
I'm trying to write hangup causes from asterisk into the CDR record.
Using version 1.4.24.1 at the moment, but no joy so far.
Has anyone implemented this?

[PATCH 0/4] Not quite working User-Mode Linux backend.
This is a User-Mode Linux backend for libguestfs. You can select it
by doing:
export LIBGUESTFS_BACKEND=uml
export LIBGUESTFS_QEMU=/path/to/vmlinux
Note we're reusing the 'qemu' variable in the handle for convenience.
QEmu is not involved when using the UML backend.
This almost works. UML itself crashes when the daemon tries to
connect to the serial port. I suspect it's
