ISDN4Linux + Asterisk and Europe
Hello,
Anyone on this group using / implementing * and hardware certified for
use in Europe ? I believe that ISDN4Linux cards mostly have telecomm
certificates, so using them should be safe on the client side. Are there
any major issues / problems associated with using such cards with * ?
I am talking about a small / very small office with single - few lines.
All the best,

Running scripts in hadoop
R-help group,
I'm looking for some assistance on using an R-script to read STDIN from
hadoop.
Example, say I have two tables. One is a student table, the other is a class
roster table (tables join on student_id). Student SAT score is in the
student table, whether the student passed or not is in the roster table.
So to determine if a student passed or failed based on their SAT score, I'd

selecting subsets of data from matrix
Probably a stupid question, but I don't seem to be able to find the answer
I'm looking for from any of the R literature. Basically I have a matrix
with several thousand rows and 20 columns(weather stations) of wind
direction data.
I am wanting to extract a matrix which contains data for all columns
conditional on column 20 having a value of _either_ less than 45 or
greater than 315. (ie I

update_attributes updates data from second instance of nested form but not the first
Got a weird situation with an update put to a controller with a form with
nested attributes.
On the data below, I am updating data for both items (''0'' and ''1'') in
rosters_attributes (in the example below I am updating the ''name'' attribute
to a new value in both cases. What I am stuck on is that ''1'' gets its data

"aliases" for R constructs?
Hi Folks,
My recent response to Laura Quinn's query about matrix subsetting
reminded of a question.
I wrote:
iDir <- ((Winds[,20]<45)|(Winds[,20]>315))&(!is.na(Winds[,20]))
Now, I find "!is.na" a bit awkward to type, so I might prefer to
type it as "nis.na".
While it is possible to define
nis.na <- function(x){ !is.na(x) }
this involves a slight

Queues
Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for help/ideas on how to do the following:
I have a couple of people out of many (the couple of people randomly change) who log into an "on-call" queue. A call comes in and it rings the "on-call" extensions, but no one answers. I would like the call to then try the cell-phones of just the people that are logged into the "on-call"

Hello,
I cannot access the r-help website although after
registration I am getting all the posts sent to the side. Each time I click

This should probably have been 'client max protocol = CORE'

and raise the level until it stops working, then use the

Intel 537EP is NOT the MD3200 aka X100P [Re: Intel 537EP chipset, revisited]
It seems the information out there on this topic was confusing enough to
cause me to waste a lot of time, and that this topic is rehashed
periodically. So now it's my turn....
I had a modem with an Intel 537EP chip on it and thought it might work
with the zaptel drivers. Initially, it seemed the only issue would be
the PCI device & vendor codes. Then, I ran into the problem that
