lattice --- different properties of lines corresponding to type=c("l", "a") respectively
I think the subject says it all. I want to make a simple lattice plot, using xyplot with the argument type=c("l","a"). The problem then is that in the resulting plot it is difficult/impossible to see which plot corresponds to the average and which to the individual profiles. I triedthings like extra arguments lwd=c(1,3) or col=c("blue","red") hoping

Process to Incorporate Functions from {parallely} into base R's {parallel} package
If these are easy changes, maybe someone will incorporate them. You'll make the argument stronger for doing that if you can explain why it's better to do that than to keep them in parallely. Process to Incorporate Functions from {parallely} into base R's {parallel} package
FWIW, there are indeed a few low hanging bug fixes in 'parallelly' that should be easy to incorporate into 'parallel' without adding extra maintenance. For example, in parallel::makePSOCKcluster(), it is not possible to disable SSH option '-l USER' so that it can be set in ~/.ssh/config. The remote user name will be the user name of your local machine and if you try to

Asterisk as a VoIP Gateway to an Analog PBX
Hello all, I am a relative asterisk noob so please bear with me if my questions are obvious. What I'm trying to do is get our analog PBX (A Merlin Legend) connected to VoIP. From all my googling and reading voip-info.org (and this list) it seems very possible. I just wanted to describe my setup and see if I'm going in the right direction. What I'd like to do is set up an asterisk box

Possible to use CAPI PBX as interface to analog phone?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello everyone, I've got an old AVM all-in-one ISDN box lying around. Currently, it's attached to my server via USB and CAPI4Linux and additionally has an analog DECT phone attached to one of its TAE ports. As I'm planning to switch to VOIP via cable internet, I'm now thinking about the following setup: [Internet] -> Cablemodem

hanging an asterisk box off of a PBX analog extension
Wanting to connect my asterisk box off of 2 unused analog extensions on the non* PBX system. Can I bring those lines in to * on XP100 FXO cards? Any special wiring/open loop issues to watch for? The desired config is inbound PRI -> non* PBX, attendant picks up and if caller wants services on * box then xfers call to one of the analog extensions where * picks up and handles call from that

pbx answers after answering from analog phone
I am setting up my * for at home office and still have analog phones attached and answer from those analog phones and not necessarily through the pbx. I found that with the X100P cards, they see the 2nd ring and will be ready to answer the line. I used a Wait to pause and allow another 2 rings before * answers. But found that if we answer the line after the 2nd ring and before the 4th, * still
