Extensions.conf sugestion?
we are in process of writing a PHP interface for * conf files. we are parsing the files like INI files but the only prob I have so far is that separate extensions in a context dont have any unique tag that I can capture. This works ok [trunkld] ; ; Long distance context accessed through trunk ; exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,1,Dial(${TRUNK}/${EXTEN:1}) exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,2,Congestion

samba4 + drbd + ctdb + failover
Hi We've got drbd going between 2 nodes:) ATM there is un-partitioned space on each node but (we think) they are syncing OK. It looks as though it has synced the whole partition (2GB) from the primary node 1 to the other node: node 1 smb1:/home/steve # cat /proc/drbd version: 8.4.4 (api:1/proto:86-101) GIT-hash: 3c1f46cb19993f98b22fdf7e18958c21ad75176d build by SuSE Build Service 1:

xen failover
Hi, I''ve got a question regarding failover. I''ve set up Xen and DRBD with the versions packaged for CentOS 5.4. Live migration of the domU''s is working between the two xen nodes quite happliy. Each domU has two LVM LVs associated with it, partitioned as swp and root. DRBD is configured to just sync the LV containing the root partition, not swp. I''ve seen

samba and failover (drbd + heartbeat)
Hi, I've setup two server A + B (debian etch) with drbd + heartbeat in active/passive mode. If the primary server A fails, the shared storage is mounted on B, the virtual ip A-vip moves to the new primary B and samba is started by heartbeat. This works well, but I'm not sure which samba files should be identical on both server. Both have a dedicated machine account at the moment.

Failover question
The registry's are stored in DB. Just export your database with 'database show' Schedule it with cron to run every 5 minutes or so. You can do that with -rx command line switch for asterisk. Send the file across to other node and pipe it through awk/perl/cut or whatever you like and import it when you bring the other node up. You will have to stop and start asterisk I think. I

Dovecot Failover
Hello, Assuming we have two (low traffic) servers (on different data centers) replicated using dsync, what is the best way to automatically direct users to the main server when it is up and to the redundant one when the main server is down? Using DNS? I've seen that DNS-based failover has generally issues (for example:

Failover Device?
First, Something seems to be wrong with the list. I'm not the only person who has expressed seeing their messages either arrive late, or not at all. With that out of the way.. Is anyone aware of any type of failover device for PRI on asterisk? I've found the ISDNGuard, however it is currently not made in the U.S., nor does it run on U.S. power. Is anyone aware of a device that will

Snom Phones Registration/Failover Feature
Hello Mailinglist, i was reading a paper regarding a Asterisk clustering solution and they where pretty excited about a feature in polycom phones: You can add a registration to a primary asterisk server You can add a registration to a secondary asterisk server The polycom phones will talk to the primary server as long as all goes well, If they have a problem with an INVITE, they

Asterisk load balancing and failover
Hi List, I'm finding a solution to provide failover and load balancing features to my IVR system. Anyone suggest me what is the best solution please?. what the hardware I should use ?. I heard about RedFone, but someone on the mail list said that it is not good because TDMoE module in asterisk is not so stable and TDMoE is stale. And It seems that RedFone doesn't not support load

simple load balancing/failover for OWA
We are building an exchange cluster with two front end Outlook Web Access servers. We would like to at least have some sort of failover, and prefereably load balancing for them. The MS recommended way is to use NLB, but for various reasons that's not working with our set up. We are looking to set up a single linux server and use something like LVS to load balance/fail over the

PHP Web interface testing and RFC
OK let’s start out with this. I’m not a pro GUI designer… ? Now that that’s done. Welcome to OpenConf. At least that what we call it now. To config an * file click on the filename to the left. For my example use extension.conf. Now you’ll have a FULL text editor and a parsed list of all the [sections] in the extensions.conf file on your left. On the right you will find any numbered var’s

Asterisk Failover without SER
Hello all, I first want to thank everyone for all your contributions. I've building an asterisk system for a month or so now and without everyone in the online asterisk community I wouldn't have made it this far yet. Thanks! ...ok, mushiness out of the way.. :) I am looking for a failover and ultimately a load balancing asterisk solution. I've done a good bit of research and I

Failover testing problem and a heartbeat question
We have a setup with 15 hosts fibre attached via a switch to a common SAN. Each host has a single fibre port, the SAN has two controllers each with two ports. The SAN is exposing four OCFS2 v1.4.2 volumes. While performing a failover test, we observed 8 hosts fence and 2 reboot _without_ fencing. The OCFS2 FAQ recommends a default disk heartbeat of 31 - 61 loops for multipath io users. Our initial

squid HA failover?
I'm running a pair of squids as an internal cache for some intermediate data used by a web server farm and currently doing failover by going through an F5 bigip. However, I'd like to avoid the bigip and use heartbeat since there are only two machines. I don't need to sync any content since it is a fast-changing cache and either machine can handle everything. Is it possible to

Clustering MySQL
I'm just beginning to consider using the Clustering available with CentOS. We are going to spec out some new hardware, and after reading most of the Clustering manuals, I have a small question about MySQL. I would like to run High Availability MySQL, in other words, similar to how you can run HA HTTPD and the like. The catch seems to be if I run MySQL on an individual server, with

What failover solution for advanced router ?
Hello, Could someone experienced suggest good solution for failover advanced router ? The router for which I need redundancy is quite complex: 1) has 5 interfaces 2) uses the same network and the other network IP aliases on some interfaces 3) uses bunch of policy routing rules 4) uses proxyarp feature on some interfaces 5) uses complex iptables setup [propably not important in this
