DTMF tones not long enough
Hi,
My system is like this currently:
ATA-186 <-> *1 <-> IAX2 to Europe <-> *2 <-> i4l <-> voicemail at cell
provider
When I dial up to my voicemail at my European cell phone provider I
can't press '#' to get into their menu. It seems like it just ignores
any DTMF tones or doesn't get them.
When I call a human on the other side of the i4l they

Hidden voicemail feature - send message to pager
Hi,
Browsing app_voicemail.c for something else I noticed that you can add
a pager email address to the voicemail box configuration like
1000 => 1234,Ask Bjoern Hansen,ask@develooper.com,
1235551234@example.com
to get a short notice about the new voicemail sent to
1235551234@example.com. Very neat.
Feature request: It would be mighty cool to get the voicemails stored
as mp3s; at least

Callerid Woes
I am trying to setup one time caller id block on my system(activated
when an incoming call matches *811XXXXXXXXXX), and I have had little to
no luck. Could you take a look at my context/macro definition and help
me figure out what I am missing?
Here is my context for my dialplan:

Slow hangup - Australia - analog - incoming calls
I have had to install a TDM800 in a site, as the telco has held off
installing ISDN indefinitely..
It's all fine except for the fact that it takes ages to hang up the line
(6 or more rings), and sometimes doesn't even bother. This is only on
incoming calls - outgoing calls work perfectly.
Is there any good tricks for a fast and accurate hangup detect in this
situation?

Mbox spool; dovecot rewriting and rewriting and rewriting
Hi,
jaldhar recommended dovecot to me -
http://www.askbjoernhansen.com/archives/2003/04/07/000286.html ...
and so far it seems much nicer than the other imapds. yay.
I use the OS X Mail.app client. I tested it with a test account
with no problems, but trying to use it with my usual mail folders
(~1.3GB; 120MB in the inbox) it's not working at all.
It seems like dovecot keeps copying the

TBM400 no callerid on incoming calls?
I have installed my TDM11B according to the docs at the Digium page but I
do not get incoming caller id. My telco confirmed that callerid should be
passed but I do not see it coming in. I am in The Netherlands with a KPN
line. The number is not even visible in console mode on * running stable
1.0.5. Ideas anyone?

ISDN Random Hangup Problems
Hello,
This morning I just started to have this problem calling from a SIP phone to
a regular phone, using one of the 4 BRI cards (passive) I've in my * box.
It calls regularly, but somewhere after 8-10 secs, it random hangups, or it
hangups immediately after a hold, and so.
I've looked into /var/log/asterisk/messages, and this is the output
corresponding to the hangup:

Hangup Faster
Hello -
My single line extension users (connected via channel banks) need to be
able to hang up faster. If they just flash the hook it doesn't
disconnect right away. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Dave

rjs woes, any hints?
I''ve pared my rjs experiment down to what seems a bare minimum. When I click
on my link_to_remote, the rjs executes, returns the correct javascript to
the browser, but it doesn''t update the div I''ve specified. What appears to
be coming back from the controller is:
Element.update("my_form", "hello, rjs");
I''m tearing my hair out.

Newbie woes with par:mar
I have a simple barchart with horizontal bars and horizontal tick labels,
produced with
barplot(x, horiz = T, names.arg = c, las = 1)
The labels are longish strings, truncated on the plot. I wish to leave more
space for the left margin, and experiment with mar parameter,
barplot(x, horiz = T, names.arg = c, las = 1, mar = c(5, 15, 4, 2))
trying various values for the second vector element, but

Removal of
ans[nas] <- NA
from the code of function 'ifelse' in R is not committed (yet). Why?

setting callerid not working if no callerid on incoming number
If we get an incoming call I can edit the callerID provided to add the
leading '90' and set the name so that sales calls can be identified
according to the number called.
If however the callerID is unavailable then setting the callerID name or
number fails (it shows as unavailable on the phone).
This is the call log from such an incoming call without callerID.

ifelse() woes ... can we agree on a ifelse2() ?
Related to the length of 'ifelse' result, I want to say that "example of different return modes" in ?ifelse led me to perceive a wrong thing in the past.
## example of different return modes:
yes <- 1:3
no <- pi^(0:3)
typeof(ifelse(NA, yes, no)) # logical
typeof(ifelse(TRUE, yes, no)) # integer
typeof(ifelse(FALSE, yes, no)) # double

partition woes (mapper/isw_bdihgcgahe_Volume0p2)
Hi,
I found 2 identical drives lying around and put them into a system.
When booting from a Centos 5.x installer, and when being presented
with the formatting option (disk druid), it says I have 1 volume of;
mamapper/isw_bdihgcgahe_Volume0p2
I can't seem to get rid of it. I have 2 physical disks but disk druid
is seeing 1 volume thats the same size as one of the 2 identical drives.
