TDM400 question
Hi folks: Does the TDM400 card from Digium only support FXS, or is FXO functionality available or planned? -- Ron Gage - Saginaw, Michigan I am looking for work - resume at http://www.rongage.org/resume.doc Electrical Engineering, Linux Programming, Networking

IAX on windows
I know this has come up before but... Has anyone done anything to get an IAX client built on Windows? I thought someone had started one, but I haven't heard anything about it since - and that was months ago? Anyone have any idea what the status is? -- Ron Gage - Saginaw, Michigan I am looking for work - resume at http://www.rongage.org/resume.doc Electrical Engineering, Linux Programming,

Samba 3 - can not use Samba resources from Win2k
Hi folks (again)... I have Samba 3 installed (compiled from source) with Kerberos 5v1.3.1 also installed (from source). My problem is that none of the domain users can use any resources from the Samba server. The Samba server is (trying to be) in Domain mode (security = ads). The Samba server has been joined to the domain and shows up nicely in AD Users and Computers (on the Windows 2000

Solved: Samba 3 w/ADS on Slackware
Hi folks: We have finally solved the problem. We have figured out how to correctly install Samba 3 with Active Directory Support on Slackware (and presumably on any other non-RPM based distro). The howto has been published on my website. Please visit http://www.rongage.org/manual_samba_howto.html for the step-by-step instructions on how to manually install Samba 3 from scratch with Active

Long logoff times - Win2k Client, Samba 2.2.2 PDC
Hi Folks: I am seeing excessively long logoff times on my Win2k clients - I am using Samba as a PDC. Excessively long == 6+ minutes. Network is 100BT switched. Total cable feet between client and server (including switch) - 10 foot. According to the switch, both machines are running at 100BT speed, full duplex. There is what appears to be a lot of network traffic between the client and the

Samba 3 still doesn't work - build errors (details)
Ok, this is simply getting annoying now. First, with Slackware 9, I could build Samba 3, could join a domain, but nobody in the domain could use the Samba machine, or browse the shares on it, or log into it. Just for grins, I decided to build a whole new machine and try with the latest Slackware (9.1) to see if I could fare any better. No go.... I can't even get Samba 3 to build. Besides

Samba 3 doesn't compile - the saga continues...
Please see my post from 24 hours ago for the background on my efforts to get Samba to run. I received instructions to modify include/includes.h to change the #include <compat.h> to #include <compat_ap.h>. Needless to say, this solved nothing other than a bunch of harmless warnings. It also caused a different warning to spew forth eternally from gcc, and more importantly, it

Samba 3: is LDAP required?
Hi folks: I've asked this question before and the answer didn't seem that clear. Let's try again - shall we? Yes or no - is OpenLDAP required to be on the SAMBA 3.0 server in order for Active Directory support to work? Active Directory support == "security = ads". Thanks -- Ronald R. SAMBA 3 and ADS still doesn't work
Been working on this for the past 3 weeks and it STILL doesn't work. Machine 1: Samba 3 on Slackware 9 - member server Machine 2: Windows 2000 Advanced Server - PDC, AD Machine 1 has successfully joined the domain without incident - it shows up in AD-Users & Computers. kinit ADMINISTRATOR@MACHINE2 works on machine 1, accepts the correct password, and returns no errors. Cross Spectrum : Conversion of 2-D spectrum into a single complex array
Hi, I'm wondering why the spectrum() phase of quadrature couple isn't purely +/-pi. But mostly, I'm looking for a recommended way to take a 2-D spectrum and convert it into a single complex array. Kindly consider: # 10 Hz sine wave 10 seconds long sampled at 50 Hz deltaT = 1/50 t = seq(0, 10, deltaT) w = 2 * pi * 10 x = ts( sin( w * t ), deltat = deltaT ) y = ts( sin(

squared coherency and cross-spectrum
Hi All, I have two time series, each has length 354. I tried to calculate the coherency^2 between them, but the value I got is always 1. On a website, it says: " Note that if the ensemble averaging were to be omitted, the coherency (squared) would be 1, independent of the data". Does any of you know how to specify properly in R in order to get more useful coherency? The examples in

Power Spectrum from STFT (e1071)?
Hello. Does anyone know how to generate a power spectrum from the STFT function in package e1071? The output for this function supplies the Fourier coefficients, but I do not know how to relate these back to the power spectrum. Alternatively, if anyone is aware of other packages/functions that perform short time Fourier transforms, that would also be helpful. Thanks. -- View this message in

how to analysisi spectrum of a dataset with NA value

Strange behaviour of spectrum()?
Dear r-help list: In the following R session, I seem to be somehow breaking the spectrum() function, but I'm not sure how. Could somebody please point out my mistake? My apologies if it's something that should be obvious. The mysterious bit is how spectrum(my.ts) at first works, but then later fails with an error message that I find difficult to interpret. I'm running R 1.3.0

Recuperate Spectrum() amplitude
Dear list, I apologies first for my English, hope you will understand well my question. I am working on 1/2 hour piezometric data, time unit is second. They present daily oscillation when using the spectrum() function. What I am really interested in, is to find the amplitude corresponding to this oscillation. I work with a college using Matlab, and although we apply the same methodology, our

plotting spectrum of time series etc
Hi, everyone, I tried to use "spectrum()" or "spec.pgram()" to get a periodogram of a time series but they didn't work. Even the examples given in the help file didn't work (all with the same error message, below). And the 'ts'ibrary was loaded with "library(ts)" or "library("ts"). I also tried library(tseries) but got the same problem.

spectrum
Dear R users I have two questions about estimating the spectral power of a time series: 1) I came across a funny thing with the following code: data(co2) par(mfrow=c(2,1)) co2.sp1<-spectrum(co2,detrend=T,demean=T,span=3) co2.sp2<-spectrum(co2[1:468],detrend=T,demean=T,span=3) The first plot displays the frequencies ranging from 0 to 6 whearas the second plot displays the same curve but

multi-scale singular spectrum analysis (SSA)
Hi everybody! I am searching for an R implementation of multi-scale singular spectrum analysis (SSA), which was introduced by Yiou etal (2000) (Data-adaptive wavelets and multi-scale singular-spectrum analysis) and further described in Ghil etal (2002). For SSA alone I found an package recently published on r-forge: http://r-forge.r-project.org/projects/simsalabim/ I am happy about any

Add title to color spectrum legend in xyplot
Hi, I have a plot that is essentially the same as that in Figure 5.6 of "Lattice - Multivariate Data Visualization with R". The key difference is that I would like to add a title to top of the grey color spectrum legend, but have thus far been unsuccessful. I've tried a variety of options, but to no avail. I'm new to R, and admittedly I don't understand the
