DomU (Centos 5) with dedicated e1000 (intel) device dropping packets
Hello everybody,
I''ve finished with pci export from DomU to Dom0 (Debian Etch) but now i
have a new problem, and a big one.
My ethernet card is dropping packets but after some time (i can''t tell
how)
It can work for a day (not in production so not hard tested) and then
all packets are dropped.
Look at the ifconfig output :
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr

libata-core kernel errors
This is a repost of sorts, and for that I am sorry; I do not think my
original posting subject was very clear, and I have more data about
the problem.
I'm experiencing lots of kernel errors when reading or writing to a
disk that is part of an mdadm softraid-5 array. Since originally
detecting this problem, I have isolated it to one disk, but I'm not
sure what the cause of the error is. I

problem with 5.3 upgrade or just bad timing?
I've been experiencing delays access data off my file server since I
upgraded to 5.3... either I hosed something, have bad hardware or very
unlikely, found a bug.
When reading or writing data, the stream to the hdd's stops every 5-10
min and %iowait goes through the roof. I checked the logs and they
are filled with this diagnostic data that I can't readily decipher.

[PATCH v3 1/2] xen: enter/exit lazy_mmu_mode around m2p_override calls
This patch is a significant performance improvement for the
m2p_override: about 6% using the gntdev device.
Each m2p_add/remove_override call issues a MULTI_grant_table_op and a
__flush_tlb_single if kmap_op != NULL. Batching all the calls together
is a great performance benefit because it means issuing one hypercall
total rather than two hypercall per page.
If paravirt_lazy_mode is set

Patch submissions & phone call this morning
Hi folks,
Change of plans with the patch submissions; I''ve removed the "Patch
submission" template and we''re just going to use the "Code review" one
instead. The reason being that when you upload a .patch file it was
redirecting you to that template anyway because it asks you for the Branch
Path the patch relates to. At the moment we don''t have any

R-mailing list -- short `disruption' Monday Aug.23 (Europe morning)
On ~ 6.30 UT ( = GMT), i.e. 8.30 middle European summer time,
our mail server will be moved to a new building
(and routing to that place will be switched).
This may give delayed Messages on R-help and the other R-lists
hopefully for less than an hour only.

[fdo] Bugzilla upgrade 2010-04-02 morning UTC
Hi all,
I'll be upgrading Bugzilla on this Friday, so Bugzilla will be
unavailable for a little while. No data should be lost, but you will
obviously not be able to file new bugs or comment on existing bugs while
the upgrade is in progress.
Cheers
