beta5 builds under RHEL
Hi, beta4 built under RHEL4, RHEL5 and RHEL6 (the latter being the public beta). beta5 now builds only for RHEL5, the other two fail with: strnum.c: In function `str_to_llong': strnum.c:139: error: `LLONG_MIN' undeclared (first use in this function) strnum.c:139: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once strnum.c:139: error: for each function it appears in.) Problems if optimization
What's up fellows... I am a begginer in R and i am trying to find the parameters of one likelihood function, but when i otimize it, always appers a error or advertisement and the solve does not occur. The problem seems like that: "lMix<-function(pars,y){ beta1<-pars[1] beta2<-pars[2] beta3<-pars[3] beta4<-pars[4] beta5<-pars[5] alfa1<-pars[6]

aoTuV beta5 is out
aoTuV Beta5 (based on aoTuV Release 1) http://www.geocities.jp/aoyoume/aotuv/ Changes: aoTuV Beta5 2006/10/24 * The action of noise normalization has been improved. This has an effect in the sound roughness and tremor problem etc. in the low bitrate. * The threshold of a stereo mode change was calculated dynamically. Some of problems which originate in channel coupling by this will improve. *

Asterisk Won't start after SVN Trunk Update
Hi: I deleted old modules in /usr/lib/asterisk/modules before make install. I built zaptel and libpri before asterisk. Modprobe zaptel and modprobe -v wctdm executed witiout complaint. Dovecot 2.0.beta5: dovecot-uidlist: Duplicate file entry at line X
Hi, I'm using dovecot 2.0.beta5 (IMAP and LMTP+sieve) and I'm getting lots of errors like this: Warning: /data/mail/4567/Maildir/dovecot-uidlist: Duplicate file entry at line 3: 1274182284.M635158P16414.mail,S=767,W=785:2,S (uid 5 -> 16) All data is stored on local disk (ext3, no NFS!). As this is a fresh installation of dovecot I do not know if older versions work better. One user

1.0.beta5 released
Just two changes: - Beta4's SSL proxying rewrite worked worse than I thought. Reverted it back to original code. - Filesystem quota plugin now looks up the mount path correctly. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Customized R Regression Output?
Hello R-Experts, I am facing the problem that I have to estimate several parameters for a lot of different dependent variables. One single regression looks something like this: y = beta0 + beta1 * x1 + beta2 * x2 + beta3 * x1 * x2 + beta4 * x4 + beta5 * lag(x4,-1) where y is the dependent variable and xi are the independent ones. Important to me are the different estimates of betai and their

sound quality
i'm recently started to encode my cd's into ogg vorbis format (192kb/s), and i am very much pleased with the quality. however, i will certainly feel awful after encoding 1gb of files and beta5 comes out, claiming to increase the sound quality. in other words, should i be using ogg vorbis for long-term audio storage without fear that those files are crappy quality and should be

null errors from 2.0.beta5
When my dovecot-2.0.beta5 auth module logs a 552-byte debug message, the message is split into two lines and also a null error message: Wed Jun 9 23:44:29 gromit dovecot[58892]: auth: Error: I think this has to do with the use of PIPE_BUF (512) sized buffers in the logging code, and the !line_is_ok() case in i_failure_parse_line(). Could you please remove the null error message? Just a

Samba 2.0.0 Beta5 released.
The Samba Team is pleased to announce Samba 2.0.0 Beta5 This is the fifth of (hopefully) a short series of Beta releases of the 2.0.0 code and incorporates bug fixes and changes from feedback gained from the earlier betas. Show-stopper bugs notwithstanding, this is expected to be the last beta release before the official ship of the stable Samba 2.0.0 release, so it is very important for people

How to test combined effects?
Suppose I have a mixed-effects model where yij is the jth sample for the ith subject: yij= beta0 + beta1(age) + beta2(age^2) + beta3(age^3) + beta4(IQ) + beta5(IQ^2) + beta6(age*IQ) + beta7(age^2*IQ) + beta8(age^3 *IQ) +random intercepti + eij In R how can I get an F test against the null hypothesis of beta6=beta7=beta8=0? In SAS I can run something like contrast age*IQ 1,

VARMA
Hi all, I want to estimate parameters from a VARMA(p,q)-Modell. The equations of the model or the model structures is given by: Xt=beta1+beta2*Xt-1+beta3*Yt-1+epsilon1 Yt=beta4+beta5*Yt-1+espilon2 epsilon1 and espilon2 are white noise. Xt is given by a vector of n elements e.g. (2, 4, 7, 9, …,n)’ and Yt is given by a vector of n elements e.g. (4,9,12,17,…,n)’. The lineVar from
