DAHDI and ZAPTEL for automatically start (rc.local)
Hi Steve; Currently with Dahdi, for the below configuration that we were using it in the rc.local, how it will be? I think there should be something new to be used instead of ztcfg, what it is? And what about other lines? They need to be changed? touch /var/lock/subsys/local /sbin/modprobe wctdm /sbin/ztcfg -vv /usr/sbin/fxotune -s /usr/sbin/safe_asterisk Regards Bilal --- On Thu, 5/1/08,

FXOTUNE update
Hey all, First of all, some background: Fxotune is a utility that is used to tune the hybrid on FXO modules For all of you with FXO modules out there, fxotune can help you adjust the analog and digital hybrid that is on the FXO interface and tune it so that it maximizes echo return loss. This means that it will reduce your default echo which is received, and will help any echo cancellers

Zaptel not compiling on lastest Centos 4.2 kernel.
Hi, I made a big mistake on a Centos 4.2 box - I forgot to exclude the kernel from updating. Now zaptel will not do a "make linux26" see below. Is there a way to roll this back or is there a patch to get Zaptel to compile? I have a link to the modules using 'ln -s /lib/modules/uname -r/build linux-2.6" so that I did not have to specifiy the kernel version directly. ....

Brazillian Caller ID: almost there...
Hello, Talking with Soren Sratje about Caller ID in Brazil, we compare ours DTMF tones captured by ztmonitor. wcfxo correctly recognize the "DTMF CLIP" and asterisk shot the AST_STATE_PRERING correctly. But the DTMF tones are not reconized. In the chan_zap.c, the code: if (f->frametype == AST_FRAME_DTMF) { (...) Does not occurs because the frametype is always reconized as voice

patlooptest and TE121P
Hi List. I'm running the patlooptest program I've found in dahdi_tools 2.1.0.2. The target is a TE121P board with a loopback cable inserted on the socket. I suppose that the loopback is working fine because I'm able to see the green led on and dahdi_tool reports no errors. When I run the patlooptest I've a lot of errors (the received values are completely different than the

TDM400P, fxotune and ADSL filters - Just a FYI, FWIW
This may be commonly known but I haven't come across it so here goes, maybe it'll help someone: I have terrible echo with asterisk 1.2, zaptel 1.2.12, and a TDM400P with 1 FXS and two FXO modules. The Mark2 echo canceller with Aggressive turned on was the only setting that would make it acceptable. I found fxotune with this zaptel version to be broken. I pulled the latest fxotune.c

What's with Indications/SetLanguage/Zaptel/RingBack ?
Good morning everybody, Can someone explain to me the interconnection between these four things: indications.conf, SetLanguage(), zaptel.conf and ring-back ? If there is any !! :- ) I am having this case where some users cannot hear ring back from a DeadAGI script and it seems to be interconnected to these items. These users are from the iaxfriends table, they _can_ hear ring-back from a

DTMF tone crashes server (Asterisk 1.4.18 with Digium TE120P)
Hi, I've been playing with a TE120P on Asterisk 1.4.18 with zaptel 1.4.9 and I've ran into an issue. After a call placed any DTMF tone causes the server to lock up entirely. Calls placed work just fine (except for a problem with echo cancellation). The phone registered to the server is a Linksys SPA-942. I am seeing in zttool some IRQ misses, but it never seems to go above 74 (below).
