further to my last email
.. the round function seems to get round it (excuse the pun):
> round(gamma(21)/(gamma(6)*gamma(16))) == round(choose(20,5))
[1] TRUE
So I presume the problem is related to gamma being a real function.
However, I'm still not sure why there's a break from TRUE to FALSE for
certain values. Any comments would be appreciated!

Please can someone explain why I seem to get these contradictory results?

Fitting distributions
Are there any functions in R for fitting distributions? In particular, I
would like to fit the weibull and extreme-value distributions when:
i) the data are given and the maximum likelihood estimates are required;
ii) the sample moments are available but the complete data record is not
(so moment estimates are required).
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Disk near failure
Hi Yamaban,
Great expalanation. I think you know how to buy an ssd. There is no doubt
about samsung ssds quality vs other. My question about neutron was to get
your opinion about this product.
My doubt was about differences between slc, mlc and tlc. Mlc endurance
respect tlc is better and I though that the mlc of neutron gives me more
endurance respect to the tlc. From a technic point of view,

"Secure" tftpd source for Linux?
I''ve been poking around my system, and realized that having a tftp server
would be handy. (I''m working with cisco routers, which have the capability to
up and download configuration images via tftp.)
However, I''m not content with the usual tftpd that comes with Linux. The
whole "specify each directory you want" scheme is cock-eyed to me. I''d
prefer

High CPU temp, suspend problem - xen 4.1.5-pre, linux 3.7.x
Hi,
I''ve still have problems with ACPI(?) on Xen. After some system startup or
resume CPU temperature goes high although all domUs (and dom0) are idle. On
"good" system startup it is about 50-55C, on "bad" - above 67C (most time
above 70C). I''ve noticed difference in C-states repored by Xen (attached
files). On "bad" startups in addition suspend

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hello Sean and Tobias,
Sean,
Thank you. Could you describe Nick's ideas in few words or give me links
to your discussion, so I could adapt my ideas to it.
Tobias,
Your patch fails on several modules in my benchmark (73 of ~1800 tests).
I have sent one as attachment.
See statistics files for more details, all the .ll files you could
simply find in test-suite object directory (after

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hi Stepan,
Sorry for the delay. It's great that you are working on MergeFunctions
as well and I agree, we should definitely try to combine our efforts to
improve MergeFunctions.
Just to give you some context, the pass (with the similar function
merging patch) is already being used in a production setting. From my
point of view, it would be better if we focus on improving its
capability
