How to remove multiple outliers
Hi All,
I am working on the dataset in which some of the variables have more than
one observations with outliers .
I am using below mentioned sample script
library(outliers)
x1 <- c(10, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 14, 10, 11, 13, 12, 13, 10, 19, 18, 17,
10099, 10099, 10098)
outlier_tf1 = outlier(x1,logical=TRUE)
find_outlier1 = which(outlier_tf1==TRUE, arr.ind=TRUE)

Decision tree model using rpart ( classification
Hi Experts,
I am new to R, using decision tree model for getting segmentation rules.
A) Using behavioural data (attributes defining customer behaviour, ( example
balances, number of accounts etc.)
1. Clustering: Cluster behavioural data to suitable number of clusters
2. Decision Tree: Using rpart classification tree for generating rules for
segmentation using cluster number(cluster id) as target

nested loop for
Hi everyone,
I have been working some days in a nested loop in R but I can't find the solution.
I have a data.frame with an unique ID for individuals and unique ID for different stands, for each indiviadual I have a dbh record and a SBA (stand basal area) field.
Pma<-rep (1:40)
P<-seq(1,4, 1)
Plot<-rep(P,10)
dbh2<-rnorm(40, mean=200, sd=5)
SBA2<-rnorm(40, mean=10, sd=1)

Subsetting data by eliminating redundant variables
Dear All,
I am new to R, I have one question which might be easy.
I have a large data with more than 250 variable, i am reducing number of
variables by redun function as in the example below,
n <- 100
x1 <- runif(n)
x2 <- runif(n)
x3 <- x1 + x2 + runif(n)/10
x4 <- x1 + x2 + x3 + runif(n)/10
x5 <- factor(sample(c('a','b','c'),n,replace=TRUE))

xts/time-series and plot questions...
Hello,
I'm a complete newbie to R. Spent this past weekend reading The Art of R Programming, The R Cookbook, the language spec, Wikis and FAQs. I sort-of have my head around R; the dizzying selection of libraries, packages, etc? Not really. I've probably missed or failed to understand something...
I have very a simple data set. Two years (ish) of temperature data, collected and

Issues while using “lift.chart” and “adjProbScore” function from ”BCA” library
Dear List,
Couple of issues while using functions from ?BCA? library:
1. I am trying to use ?lift.chart? function from ?BCA? library, but facing
issues while using model where model formula is passed as formula object in
glm.
When model formula is written as text, then it works fine. In my case input
variables and target variables are going to change dynamically, so have to
used formula as

Passing date as parameter while retrieving data from database using dbGetQuery
Hi All,
This might be simple question, I need to retrive data for modelling from the
databases. Eveytime date values changes so I countnot fix date value in the
code, it is required to pass as parameter.
When I pass the date as parameter, it throws error.
(ERROR: column "start_dt" does not exist Position: 285)
My script is as below, please guide me where am I going wrong?

Merging multiple data sets
Hello R user,
I have four data sets in dir "D:/Bharat Warule/Rdata_file" which are
output_data_prod_1.rda, output_data_prod_2.rda, output_data_prod_3.rda,
output_data_prod_4.rda.
Each data set is huge size like number of rows 343297 and columns are near
to 50.
For example:
x1 <- data.frame(x11=c(1,2,3,4,5),x112=c(10,10,10,10,10))

Data frame manipulation by eliminating rows containing extreme values
Dear All,
I have got the limits for removing extreme values for each variables using
following function .
f=function(x){quantile(x, c(0.25, 0.75),na.rm = TRUE) - matrix(IQR(x,na.rm =
TRUE) * c(1.5), nrow = 1) %*% c(-1, 1)}
#Example:
n <- 100
x1 <- runif(n)
x2 <- runif(n)
x3 <- x1 + x2 + runif(n)/10
x4 <- x1 + x2 + x3 + runif(n)/10

Help please..
Hello R-world,
I am facing a peculiar problem and hope someone out there
can comment on it.
In goodness-of-fit tests for evaluation of distributions,
there are three well-known methods:
1. Chi-square
2. Anderson-Darling
3. Kolmogorov-Sminrov
I am trying to use the second test. Many researchers have
reported results using this test. I wrote programs in C and
now in R to do this. I run into

Calculating the probability of an event at time "t" from a Cox model fit
Dear R-users,
I would like to determine the probability of event at specific time using
cox model fit. On the development sample data I am able to get the
probability of a event at time point(t).
I need probability score of a event at specific time, using scoring scoring
dataset which will have only covariates and not the response variables.
Here is the sample code:
n = 1000

Writing point pattern to a file
Hi,
I am trying to use the R package 'spatstat' for generating spatial
poisson point process graphs. I can create a point pattern using the
following commands:
pp <- rpoispp(.01, win=owin(c(0,100),c(0,100)))
and also view the resulting graph by:
plot(pp)
But how can I export the generated point pattern to an external file so
that I could use it as input for some network

How to spec an attachment_fu model
First off, I''m not trying to spec attachment_fu, I know it''s been tested.
But, I added some code to that model that I do need to test. Basically,
I need to somehow fulfill the "uploaded_data" property so I can actually
run my tests(otherwise they fail because of validations). The
"uploaded_data" field is what would grab the multipart data from form.

Now problem is: i have installed FireRuby, got databaes, changed my
database.yml file.
I am trying to display all the users in Members table. but i am
