random permuted block randomization
Hi,
I am very new to R. Just started yesterday. I have to generate a sequence of
40 random treatments using permuted block randomization with a block size of
8. Then I have to plot moving averages for the resulting sequence. I have
tried the sample function but I dont know if wht i did is right or not
> sample(c(1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2),8)
Any ideas please?

[LLVMdev] Not Understanding Use
Let's say I have the following IR code:
21> %tmp = load i32* @myrand.z, align 4
22> %tmp1 = and i32 %tmp, 5535
23> %tmp2 = mul nsw i32 %tmp1, 36969
24> %tmp3 = ashr i32 %tmp, 16
And I have an Instruction *inst that is the instruction on line 22.
then have the code:
Use *operand1 = &(inst->getOperandUse(0));
I expect that operand1->getNext() will return the the Use*

A pre/post execution question
If I have an operation, such as an RPM install, and I have certain mounts that are read-only, how should I go about making sure that they are read write prior to an update?
For example:
1. Re-mount file systems as read write.
2. Perform RPM updates
3. Re-re-mount file systems as read only.
I got to thinking about this when I saw the post about automatic remounting after changing mount options.

[PATCH 00/21] Upgrade to Lua 5.2.2, add filesystem module and get_key binding
Hi,
This series targets automatic boot menu generation, but most of it
is the Lua upgrade, because I got tired reading deprecated API docs.
It's mostly a straightforward forward port of the earlier Syslinux
specific changes to Lua 5.1, except that:
* I chose the add a stub getenv() implementation to the COM32 API
instead of #ifdefing out all the references in Lua, and
* I kept oslib
