certificates keys on pkcs11 devices
Hi,
I have not found any way to use a Certificate with ssh-agent when my Key is
stored on a pkcs11 device. I can add my key with
ssh-add -s /usr/local/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so
but
ssh-add -s /usr/local/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so ~/.ssh/mykey-cert.pub
does not add the certificate to my agent. As far as I undestand, in
ssh-add.c line 580
if (pkcs11provider != NULL) {

How to use publickey from x509 certificate?
Hello,
I have the following problem: I want to use publickey authentication by
using the publickey of a x509 certificate stored on a java card. I can
already extract the publickey of the certificate and write it into a
file. The problem i have is that i don't know how to convert the
certificate's publickey into an rsa publickey format that openssh will
accept.
Does anybody have a

[PATCH] ssh-pkcs11: allow providing unconditional pin code for PKCS11
I find this approach very bad in general.?
PKCS#11 standard says that *private* keys should not be accessible without authentication. *Public* keys and certificates of course can and should be accessible with no authentication.
SoftHSM misinterpreted this originally (older pkcs11 documents were less clear :), but they rectified this mistake. We should not repeat it.?

RFE: OpenSSH Support for PKCS11 Funneling to PAM for Kerberos/PKINIT
I know OpenSSH currently supports PKCS11 devices (such as smartcards)
for publickey authentication, but I would love to see PKCS11 extended
further. It is currently possible to perform PKCS11 certificate
authentication, via pam_krb5.so (on Linux at least and likely something
similar on other *NIX) which allows smartcard auth to a Kerberos
(including AD) server, where a TGT can also be granted.

ssh-add -s /usr/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so does not work
Dear friends,
First, thanks for helping me on ssh default option for smartcards. I
recompiled SSH from CVS and it seems to work.
I still have problems with:
ssh-add -s /usr/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so
Enter passphrase for PKCS#11: (I enter PIN code)

Openssh to support X509 certificates
Hello,
I have paid attention to the issue about the X509-based certificate support in
standard openssh.
Because I also need the support of X509-based certificates in my project,
and also I have developed specific version of openssh to pass the
proxy certificate from client to server. But I used the PAM module
to verify the proxy and authorize the accessors.
I wonder whether current support in

new option ssh-add -v to verify if key is loaded into the agent
Dear openssh developers
In a shell script I need to verify if a key belonging to a given public
key file is already loaded into the agent. To achieve this, I added a
new option -v to ssh-add which does this verification.
The patch bases on openssh v5.8p1. The regression test agent.sh was
extended to test this new feature.
Is there any chance for inclusion of attached patch?
Cheers
Konrad

[PATCH] ssh-pkcs11: allow providing unconditional pin code for PKCS11
Some HSM's such as Safenet Network HSM do not allow searching for keys
unauthenticated. To support such devices provide a mechanism for users
to provide a pin code that is always used to automatically log in to
the HSM when using PKCS11.
The pin code is read from a file specified by the environment variable
SSH_PKCS11_PINFILE if it is set.
Tested against Safenet Network HSM.

ssh-pkcs11.c
Hi Alon,
I confirmed with pkcs11-tool (from OpenSC) and I can confirm that
pressing return when asked for the pin causes the login to stop (and
not to try a empty pin).
Can you confirm if a empty pin is actually a valid pin, and if not,
can the patch be accepted?
Once again, the problem is that from a user experience, *some/most*
users would expect they can skip pkcs11 token authentication just

firefox unable to load pkcs11 module
Hi Tony,
Have you solved this problem yet?I took another approach and used CACkey which supportsUS Government PIV cards including the CAC.? In my case I set it up on Linux Mint but there is an rpm version of CACKey for 32 or 64 bit Centos. Here is the process I went through.
- setup CAC card by following instructions on:

ssh-pkcs11.c
Hi,
It seems there is a bug with the pkcs11 feature where a zero-length
PIN is accepted. I believe this is a bug, since the user might want to
press return when asked for the PIN to ignore that slot/key.
This is caused at pkcs11_rsa_private_encrypt:
snprintf(prompt, sizeof(prompt),
"Enter PIN for '%s': ", si->token.label);
pin = read_passphrase(prompt, RP_ALLOW_EOF);

RFE: OpenSSH Support for PKCS11 Funneling to PAM for Kerberos/PKINIT
Alon,
I should have provided more background. You are assuming that I could
perform the PKINIT prior to connecting to the SSH server. In this case
(and others) there is an interest in not exposing the kerberos servers
to the world and thus someone connecting remotely would not be able to
obtain a TGT or do a PKINIT. The goal would be for SSH to handle all
the auth and only after connecting to
