Updated ssh-keyscan patch for ssh2 support
In the past 2 months another change occurred in the CVS code that broke my ssh-keyscan patch. Here's an updated version that tweaks the changed name (in the Kex struct) and also causes an attempt to grab an ssh2 key from an older server (without ssh2 support) to fail earlier and without an error message (Stuart Pearlman emailed me some code for this). This patch is based on the BSD CVS

ssh-keyscan continuity patch --
I apologize, this patch should have been sent awhile ago. Between a lot of things that needed to be completed at work as a sysadmin for the Research Computing group at Purdue University and retiring from work after 38 years at the end of May (2012), I basically ignored it. This patch is from a clone of my workstation that I just activated at home. The patch was primarily written to fix the

[Bug 1213] ssh-keyscan exits in mid-way
https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1213 --- Comment #57 from Daniel Richard G. <skunk at iSKUNK.ORG> --- Okay, rolling with git master 86936ec2. Now, ssh-keyscan isn't erroring out; instead, it's... hanging. I'm seeing this behavior crop up pretty consistently after running for several minutes. And it's wedged pretty tight, too---nothing happens even after letting

openssh-2.9p1
Hi, 1. I think you should apply the attached patch to openssh-2.9p1, otherwise ssh-keyscan on linux boxes with glibc-2.1 will experience enormous timeout delays. 2. Is there a program like ssh-keyscan for the Version2 (dsa and rsa) keys?? regards Peter Breitenlohner <peb at mppmu.mpg.de> -------------- next part -------------- diff -ur openssh-2.9p1.orig/ssh-keyscan.c

[PATCH] No extern declarations of optarg & co if getopt.h is available
Hi, I have a problem with the extern declarations of optarg, optind, etc. We're currently moving getopt from being a statically linked function to a dynamically linked function as part of the Cygwin DLL. On Windows, this requires to generate special symbols (__imp__optarg, etc.), which is done by marking the exported variables in the corresponding header. Instead of extern char *optarg;

patch for openssh3.5p1 - adds logging option
this patch adds a LogFile option to sshd_config. it just logs messages directly to a file instead of stderr or syslog. the largest change is an additional argument to log_init() in log.c for the log file name (and then changes to the rest of the tools to add a NULL arg). galt -------------- next part -------------- diff -urN openssh-3.5p1-orig/log.c openssh-3.5p1/log.c ---

[PATCH] nouveau_xv: Avoid reading off the end of the source image on NV50+
The 'w' argument to NVCopyNV12ColorPlanes is used to index into the source image. line_len is rounded up to 8 on NV50+, so if the source image (+ left offset) is not rounded to 8, NVCopyNV12ColorPlanes could read past the end of the array and crash X. This change can cause the last few horizontal pixels of dst to not be initialized, but they should be truncated by the renderer anyways.

[PATCH] getpwnam() implementation in tftpd.c
Hi, This patch implements a minimal getpwnam() function in tftpd.c. The reason for the patch is that I needed tftpd to work in my embedded system, which are without libnss*. The patch has been tested, and works for me. Please consider it. Best regards, jules -- Jules Colding <JuBColding at yorkref.com> York Refrigeration diff -urN tftp-hpa-0.34.orig/tftpd/Makefile

Procmail died with Signal 11
Hi to all out there, i know this is not the right mailinglist for this issue, but i?m hoping to get maybe here an answer to my problem. i have succesfully migrated 12.000 mailboxes on a debaian with washington imap to maildir on sles10 with dovecot. although i had some post-converting work to do, i can say that almost everything went fine. but there is one problem with my LDA. [ao] Two patches for libao2
Hi Heikki, So libao is currently not maintained upstream. In the appropriate IRC channels I'm lead to believe that there are better libraries out there that should be used instead. If so many debian packages didn't link against it I would seriously consider dropping it all together. It doesn't sound like it's worth anyone's time maintaining libao properly upstream. I do have

Procmail patch for dovecot delivery
Hello! As discussed in the previous thread about "Dovecot deliver logging problem and procmail" I have made a small patch for procmail to deliver through dovecot's deliver program (or any other delivery program). So Procmail does not write the mailboxes directly any more. So delivery is done through pipes and an external program which can deliver the files. Since dovecot's

bug in ssh-keyscan.c --
===== Ladies/Gents, "ssh-keyscan.c" can't be linked statically against "libssh.a". You end up with `fatal()' being doubly defined. The patch below deletes the new "ssh-keyscan.c:fatal()" function and and restores the "ssh-keyscan.c:fatal_callback()" function with modifi- cations. The problem that both attempt to alleviate is the setting of the

ssh-keyscan not using ProxyCommand?
I have a network without a network connection to other networks. But a socks server is dual homed between it and other networks. I can use socks to ssh to other networks. I use ProxyCommand with the socks aware connect.c program to connect out. All works great. I discovered while trying to use the ssh-keyscan program that it does not use the ProxyCommand configuration. At least in my testing

snapshot: ssh-keyscan problems
Hello all, Tested the latest snapshot. ssh-keyscan seems to have gone in. :) Two issues about it (patched): 1) the man pages aren't installed, only uninstalled 2) RH spec file (and the others no doubt..) won't include it. General observations: for RSA keys only?, kinda obsoletes contrib/make-ssh-known-hosts*. -- Pekka Savola "Tell me of difficulties surmounted,
