ssh/sshd go off in limbo-land after closing remote session (v2.9.9p2)
When I run a remote xterm, the ssh hangs even after I quit the xterm. Below is the output for the following sequence: client> ssh -v -v -v dazel xterm xterm> exit client> ^C The outcome is always the same - the ssh doesn't exit with I quit the xterm... I am comparing two different algorithms in terms of speed and memory usage. choose() function returning anomalous results (zero instead of one)

samba 2.2.3a on PPC
I can join a domain, but wbinfo -t does not work. I used Mandrake's .src.rpm. I tried the same .src.rpm on a x86 machine and it works. strace's are attached. Stopping criterion in option "control" of BBsolve( )
Dear Dr. Gilbert, Dr. Varadhan and all R-help list members, I'm using the function BBsolve( ) and I have some questions on the stopping criterion "maxit" and "noimp" specified in the option "control". Here are two such examples I'm having problem with. In these two examples, the function BBsolve( ) always stops at iteration 100, overlooking the values
