Strange problem with ddns AAAA delete
I am trying to setup dynamic updates with bind_dlz backend, but for some reason if any windows client or linux with nsupdate tries to remove AAAA record, server just 'cancelling transaction', while A and PTR records (both on reverse ipv4 and ipv6) working fine. If i'am remove AAAA record manually via samba-tool or windows mmc then AAAA record can be updated, but after that it again

Benchmark
Hello: I modified benchmark used in http://www.informatik.uni-frankfurt.de/~stst/benchspl.txt now the attached code will work with R, except for last test for some reason (Sorry ran out of time to play with this). Immediate problem is that R does not show fraction of seconds. So, that kinda makes comparison some what hard. I also looked at memory and CPU usage on NT console. R seems to go

Log linear model - Showing non-deviation form in glm()
Hey, Whenever I set up a log linear model using glm(Y~. , data=data, family=poisson) I get the parameters in the form of deviation from the first cell kombination. I find this to be hard to interpret when I for instance want to know if there is a difference between two factors in the first category since those parameters are not shown directly. Is there any way to get the summary() command, or

OpenSSH and CBC
Hello, I saw that OpenSSH release 6.7 removed all CBC ciphers by default. Is CBC therefore considered as broken and unsecure (in general or SSH implementation)? I also read a lot of references (see below) but still not clear to me what's the actual "security status" of CBC and why it has been removed in general. http://www.openssh.com/txt/release-6.7 sshd(8): The default set

Does anyone know anything about this "0-day" ssh vulnerability?
Hi all. I've looked at the archives and it seems to be quiet regarding this supposed "0-day" openssh vulnerability and I'm wondering if anyone here may have some insight or further information regarding it. We've been monitoring things and the amount of speculative info flying around is incredible. Some claim it's the CPNI-957037 issue, thus affecting <5.2, others

3D plot, rotatable and with adjustable symbols
Hi all, I've tried to make a 3D plot, but have run into some problems. I'd like to have a plot that I can rotate interactively using the mouse, which is possible using the plots3d {R.basic}. However, I would like to change the symbols used as the points, but there's no pch in plot3d(). If I use the Scatterplot3d package, I'm able to change this, but not able to rotate

R benchmarking program
Hi All, I've just rebuild the latest R with the Goto BLAS on our new Intel quad core machines. I did a few basic matrix calculations, and I was very impressed by the performance I saw. I wonder if anyone has a more rigorous benchmarking program for R. I downloaded a old R test/benchmarking program (see below), and this didn't work with the current R, and so I wondered if anyone could

Change positions of columns in data frame
Hi all, Probably a simple question, but I just can't find a simple answear in the older threads or anywhere else. I've added some new vectors as columns in a data frame using cbind(). As they're all put as the last columns inte the data frame, I would like to move them to specific positions. How do you do to change the position of a column in a data frame? I know I can use

Trellis settings get lost when printing to pdf
Hi all, I've got some problems when changing the trellis settings for the lattice plots. The plots look exactly as I want them to when calling show.settings() as well as when plotting them in the graphical window. But when printing to a pdf file, none of the settings are used!? Does anyone know what might have happened? Because the when changing the trellis settings, these should remain in

Remove part of string in colname and calculate mean for columns groups
Hi all, I have two question. First, I wonder how to remove a part of the column names in a matrix? I would like to remove the "_ACCX" or "_NAX" part below. Is there a method where the "_" as well as all characters after i can be removed? > dim(exprdata) [1] 88 512 > > colnames(exprdata[,c(1:20)]) [1] "Akita_ACC1" "Akita_ACC2"
