openssh-3.1p1 on GNU/Hurd
Hi,
I've gone and ported the latest version of openssh, 3.1p1, to GNU/Hurd.
I've tried to learn from the other threads on this topic, but I still had
to get rid of MAXHOSTNAMELEN where I could.

Allow --without-privsep build.
I've been trying to cut down the size of openssh so I can run it on my
Nokia 770. One thing which helps a fair amount (and will help even more
when I get '-ffunction-sections -fdata-sections --gc-sections' working)
is to have the option of compiling out privilege separation...
Is it worth me tidying this up and trying to make it apply properly to
the OpenBSD version? Does the openbsd

OS/390 openssh
Hello Steve, Hello OpenSSH-portable developers,
I am building OpenSSH for our (EBCDIC-based) BS2000 mainframe
operating system, and I noticed you do the same for OS/390.
Because my initial ssh port was based on IBM's OSS port (ssh-1.2.2
or some such), I thought it was fair enough to help with a little
co-operation; we might come up with a unified EBCDIC patch which could
be contributed to

openssh-2.9.9p2 session.c uses two undeclared void functions
I found this problem on 32-bit Solaris 8 sparc. session.c uses two
void functions without declaring them first; this violates the C
standard, which requires declarations for such functions. Here's a
patch.

Patch to make sshd work on multihomed systems
As far as I know this patch has no security implications -- I don't
believe that allowing sshd to use get_local_name() (in canohost.c) on
a connected socket to determine it's own fqdn will allow a malicious
client (or router or dns server) to make it come to the wrong
conclusion. But please let me know if you think I'm wrong.
Please also let me know if you're just not interested

Privilege separation
Hello!
Please consider including the attached patch in the next release. It
allows one to drop privilege separation code while building openssh by using
'--disable-privsep' switch of configure script. If one doesn't use privilege
separation at all, why don't simply allow him to drop privilege separation
support completely?

patch for the HURD
This is a small/trivial patch to get HURD to _compile_ (I haven't gotten
PRNG to work yet) openssh. All it does is define MAXHOSTNAMELEN in
defines.h if it isn't already defined (there may need to be a library
loaded first, or you may want to incorporate that patch into canohost.c
instead of defines.h). Anyway, small patch for canohost.c and defines.h
because HURD doesn't use

[PATCH] Replace AIX loginmsg with generic Buffer loginmsg
Hi All.
I've decided to try to merge the -Portable parts of the password expiry
patch (see bug #14) that do not depend on the OpenBSD change in bug #463.
The attached patch is the first step in this process. It removes the
AIX-specific "char *aixloginmsg" and replaces it with a platform-neutral
"Buffer loginmsg". I think this is worth having in -Portable even if it

OpenSSH 2.2.0p1 port to QNX 4
Dear OpenSSH porting developers,
finally I succeded in porting OpenSSH to QNX 4.
To get things going I had to take over some definitions from Linux'
include files, since they are not available under QNX (e.g. the howmany
makro, NFDBITS, the lastlog structure). With this email I send a patch
with all my changes as well as the file "qnx-term.h" which I created
