cipsaddsmb UNSUCCESSFUL
Hi,
I have a linux box on RH7.3 with samba 2.2.5-1 and cups-1.1.14-15.
I create a cups printer on to this machine with success, It called lptest?
and apparently, when I send a page test it works fine.
But now I want to share It via Samba then I putted the different setting in
smb.conf . I extracted the different files from the ADOBE POSTSCRIPT DRIVER
and I put them in /usr/share/cups/drivers .

Exiting ssh when MaxSessions=0
Hi,
I've been experimenting with MaxSessions=0 in the sshd_config and have
encountered one unfortunate problem. Once the client authenticates to
the server, it ceases to respond to keyboard input.
At first glance, it looks like the client is in a hung state and does
not time out. If port forwarding was requested on the command-line and
the server accepts the request, that continues to work.

levelplot and source() problems
I have been using levelplot but have had trouble calling it inside
functions - something seems to go wrong when it's not called directly from
the R command prompt. Simplest reproducible example:
$ R --vanilla
> library(lattice)
> levelplot(matrix(1:4,2,2))
- This gives a nice plot in soothing pastel colors.
Now, with a file lptest.r containing 2 lines:

5.1p1 doesn't work, 5.0p1 works fine
5.1p1 disconnects after the password prompt when connecting to my router and UPS. 5.1p1 connects fine to other unix hosts, and my Windows client connects fine to 5.1p1 servers. 5.0p1 works fine everywhere.
I've tried ssh -T, ssh -t, permutations with ssh -o Compression=no -o TCPKeepAlive=no, etc, to no avail. I've used the default ssh_config file, and it still fails.
Can anyone

remote vs local window discrepancy
I am utilizing an openssh tunnel between two Linux boxes. On the client
box I issue the following commands to set up the tunnel;
- ssh -w0:0 root at x.x.x.x -v where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the Linux
system running sshd
- ip addr add 10.0.5.1/32 peer 10.0.5.2 dev tun0
- ip link set tun0 up
On the box running sshd I issue the following commands:
- ip addr add 10.0.5.2/32 peer 10.0.5.1 dev

CentOS 4.2 x86_64
I have a couple of 64-Bit Xeon's with CentOS 4.2 x86_64 installed on
them. They don't all have the same motherboards.
I've having a difficult time getting CentOS 4.2 x86_64 to boot on some
of them in SMP mode (UP works fine). After the installation of CD, it
boots up but kernel panics with the following error:

problem with AFS token forwarding
Hello,
I came across an interoperability problem in OpenSSH 3.0p1 and 3.0.1p1
concerning the AFS token forwarding. That means that the new versions are
not able to exchange AFS tokens (and Kerberos TGTs) with older OpenSSH
releases (including 2.9p2) and with the old SSH 1.2.2x. In my opinion this
problem already existed in Openssh 2.9.9p1, but I have never used this
version (I only looked at the

GSSAPI Kerberos Differences between 5.1p1 and 5.2p1?
Hello,
I'm trying to find clues on what may have changed for GSSAPI (Kerberos)
authentication between OpenSSH 5.1p1 and 5.2p1. We have been using
GSSAPI authentication for ssh for about 18 months with no problem with
the OpenSSH build that is bundled with the FreeBSD operating system.
All of those machines have OpenSSH 5.1p1. Last week I upgraded one of
the servers to FreeBSD 8.0-BETA1

Performance of scp with OpenSSH - 5.1p1
Hello All,
As the release notes of SSH-4.7 version says that a new MAC algorithm
(UMAC-64 - RFC4418) was introduced with OpenSSH-4.7 which gives much
better performance, I was tempted to check out the enhanced speed
provided with new version. So I downloaded OpenSSH-5.1p1 and build it on
Solaris 10 with Sun Compiler CC.
My test setup:-
1. Two Sunfire 440 with 2 CPU (1281 MHz) and 4GB RAM.

5.1p1 and X11 forwarding failing
I'm really scratching my head on this one. The server
is running OpenSSH 5.1p1 on Solaris 9. The authentication
is via PAM if that matters.
# grep X11 sshd_config | sed '/^#/D'
X11Forwarding yes
X11DisplayOffset 10
X11UseLocalhost yes
#
Now I attach to my 'master' sshd and follow all children
to look for any evidence of "DISPLAY":
# truss -f -a -e -p 14923

Suggestion: SSHD pseudo/fake mode. Source available.
Hi,
SSH brute force attacks seem to enjoy increasing popularity. Call me an
optimist or a misrouted kind of contributer to the community, but on our
company server I actually go through the logs and report extreme cases
to the providers of the originating IP's. With the increasing number of
these attacks, however, I have now decided that it's better to move the
SSHd to a different

Viewing cetificate details
Hi,
I don't see any way to view the details of a certificate once it is
generated. Having such a capability would be very handy for debugging
purposes to check what constraints, principals, and validity interval
are associated with a given cert.

openssh-5.1p1 configure failure
Hi
If I try to run configure for openssh-5.1p1 with --wtih-selinux option

all of the below also dont work

OpenSSH 7.6p1 ssh-agent exiting if passed an invalid key blob
Hello,
I noticed a problem recently when running some test code against the OpenSSH 7.6p1 ssh-agent. These tests ran fine against OpenSSH 7.5p1 and earlier, but with OpenSSH 7.6p1, they were suddenly causing ssh-agent to exit. The request being made was a ?sign? request, and the point of the test was to have the sign operation fail. To trigger this, I was passing in an invalid key blob
