Patches for openssh port forwarding
Hi !
I hacked together a couple of patches for Openssh 2.1.1p4 port forwarding.
It is a one patch file that does the following two things:
First:
If the server is configured not to allow port forwardings it sends
SSH_SMSG_FAILURE (protocol 1) while openssh client expects SSH_SMSG_SUCCESS.
When the client gets the failure it exists with protocol error message.
This patch will accept both failure

Socket options not properly set for ssh and sshd.
I mentioned this problem in a previous post (in November). This time
I'm including a patch.
Version: OpenSSH_2.3.0p1
Keywords: setsockopt keepalive hang masquerade interactive
Symptom: For protocol 2, socket options (especially keepalive) are not
being properly set for OpenSSH_2.3.0p1, even when request in the config
files.
Furthermore (for either protocol), keepalive is only set for

Experimental -R support patch for openssh client
Hi !
Here's an experimental patch for openssh-2.1.1p4 to add support
(to openssh client) for -R (protocol 2).
So if you have access to a commercial ssh2 server (that allows port
forwardings) could you test this patch.
(Note the openssh server doesn't have support for -R with protocol 2 so
testing with openssh server won't do much good).
To test remember to use -o "Protocol

Patch to allow checking of v1 keys on remote host.
The attached patch for 4.6p1 adds a feature (-u) that will check to
see if a key exists on a remote host. I use this for auditing my
users transition to v2 keys very useful. If there is any interest
I'll provide a patch for v2 ssh keys also.

Protocol 2 remote forwarding patch
Hi all,
I'm very new in this list, as looking for codes to plug up the lack of
functionality of "Protocol 2 Remote Forwardig".
Fortunately, I could find it in MARC's archive. Mr. Jarno Huuskonen
posted the codes in Sept, last year, and I tried applying it to my
FreeBSD box environment.
I couldn't apply an original patch, of course, for incompatibility of
virsion. The

AIX authenticate patches
Here are some patches to re-enable support for AIX's authenticate
routines. With them, ssh will honor locked & unlocked accounts, record
successful and unsuccessful logins, and deny accounts that are
prohibited to log in via the network. Tested with AIX 4.3.
It also includes a fix for handling SIGCHLD that may be needed for
other platforms (HP-UX 10.20, for example).
If I get the time

Fix AFS and Kerberos interaction
Hello,
I going to use ssh with Kerberos V5 support along with support for AFS. I
don't want to use Kerberos V4 or AFS token passing. The only thing I need
from AFS is creating an AFS token (using appropriate function from krb5 API)
after user's authentication. It seems to me that such scenario is not much
supported by the current code. Rather it is assumed only Kerberos 4 will be
used

Protocol 2 remote forwarding patch
Hi !
Here's a patch to add remote port forwarding support (protocol 2) for
openssh. I have tried to test that it works like it should but a more
thorough testing is needed. This patch adds both client/server support.
The patch should be applied to openssh-2.1.1p4 source tree.
Also included is a PortForwarding sshd_config option, new ./configure
option --disable-forwarding that should make it

Timer Daemon doesn't start
Hey,
I have the problem that my timer daemon doesn't start. I checked my configuration more than two times and I don't find the failure. Maybe someone can help me and tell me where the failure could be.

logging command line execs
Hey folks,
As part of a local change, we like to authlog the commands executed via
command line, i.e.:
ssh user at host "somecommand"
And I was able to modify session.c like so:
--------------------------------------
case SSH_CMSG_EXEC_CMD:
if (type == SSH_CMSG_EXEC_CMD) {
command = packet_get_string(&dlen);

Piping logs to rotatelog
Mongrel clusters lets yuo pick a path to your logs with the "-l "
switch. I tried giving a pathc that contains the rotatelogs like
-l
|/usr/sbin/rotatelogs /var/log/mongrel.log 3600"
And it just gave me error. So I rolledup my sleeves and dig into:
1)
/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel_cluster-1.0.5/lib/mongrel_cluster/init.rb

AIX openssh patches
I have a few patches for AIX. The patchfile is attached below. The patch
has been tested on AIX4.2 and AIX4.3. The patch is on openssh-1.2.1pre25,
with openssl-0.94, using RSAref.
1) authenticate support - this function allows the system to determine
authentification. Whatever the system allows for login, authenticate
will too. It doesn't matter whether it is AFS, DFS, SecureID, local.

Versioning of rust bindings
In the last patch, I let the version of Rust bindings be the same as the
version of libguestfs. However, I came to think it is not preferable in
terms of the custom of Rust crate versioning.
After a version of a crate is published to crates.io, no one can republish
the crate with the same version. This means that when there are some
mistakes in the rust bindings, after they are fixed, it is

I am currently working on some modifications to openssh

is disabled).

Help with graphing impulse response functions
Dear colleagues/contributors,
I'd be pleased if someone could provide insights on how to plot impulse response functions in a format that can easily be copied in a word document just as plotting time-series of variables.
I had followed the outline suggested by Benhard Pfaff [see http://127.0.0.1:17693/library/vars/html/irf.html] but I am unable to get the impulse response functions in a
