Samba pwd in kerberos?
Hi. As I said... I will bother you. :)
I'm wondering if it's possible to make samba as a primary domain
controller without having samba passwords, but instead using my two KDCs
(MIT K5).
Is it possible? What should I use in my smb.conf? The wonderful and less
painful thing is samba authenticating via pam... but I don't know how...
the documentation is quite misty.

artifacts, format?
First off, I'd like to say thanks for this project. I know that it is
needed. I'm happy to see that work is progressing, and especially happy
at the sound quality that I got out of my first encoding and decoding.
However, I know that there are some types of sounds that still don't
quite work with Vorbis (well, that's true for pretty much any lossy
codec). I think I found a weak

openssh 4.3 on IRIX 5.3
Dear developers,
OpenSSH 4.3 (both p1 and p2) has a number of issues on IRIX 5.3 which
were not present with 4.2p1:
configure thinks that a number of header files are unusable. This is
because in order to use them other headers such as sys/types.h must
be included as well, and configure's test code does not do so.
checking ia.h usability... no
checking ia.h presence... yes

libshout2, ices0-3 and ices2 on Win32. Announce
Hello..
I have libshout2, ices0-3 and ices2 compiling on Win32
with
MSVC++ 6.0.
However, I don't know where to upload the code and if
someone is kind enuff to point out the
location(s)/procedure
that would be great. I will put a readme in the distro
for compiling procedures.
ices2 compiles but doesn't run correctly (yet). There
are
some issues related to parsing the ices-playlist.xml

Newb Question : How do I load the Rsymphony Library, and How do I get Symphony Running on my windows Vista?
Hi, I'm new to R, and at this phase, I don't really even know how to learn
how to use R.
I want to use R and Symphony together. CAn I use Symphony on a windows

Symphony 5.2.0, and when I hit to install it, I'm getting an error that I
can't get past. "Bad end of central directory record"

Kerberos and Samba
Hi.
I've built an afs cell, a kerberos kdc, an openldap server, all
kerberized. Now all linux clients can login on the cell using k5
authentication, finding informations about their home dirs with ldap.
Their home reside on the afs cell, which allows r/w access since it
releases a token from the k5 ticket. All macosx clients can login as
well... but what about windows? ^___^;;;

I got some weird problem with public key authentication using rsa key pair.
Let me first of all explain my setup.

I'm using pkgsrc, so I've builded all

Hi Abhijit
I can't answer your questions but I would be very interested in a fully
working binary of Ices2 for Win32 once it's ready. Thanks for the
effort.

auth: Error: auth worker: Aborted request: Lookup timed out
Thanks for your tip regarding the busy network.
I am using a one year old Cisco Catalyst 2960S (WS-C2960S-48TD-L) with cat6e cables and my network should not be overloaded as far as I know. My mailbox and mail proxy servers are on two different virtual machines on two different servers. It could be possible that it is something with the virtualization but my other VMs do not have any connection

OpenSSH VPN between Mac OS X and OpenBSD
Honestly, I'm probably not the best person to ask this. I really just
deal with network performance issues. You should try the OpenSSH
development group. I've cc:'d that group on this message.
However, a quick look at the code shows that you'd only be getting that
warning if both CUSTOM_SYS_TUN_OPEN and SSH_TUN_OPENBSD are not defined.
Grep on the first define we find the

libshout2, ices0-3 and ices2 on Win32. Announce
Well...since this is a port to Win32 patches may not
make sense. Pathnames to the required libraries are
relative, but hardcoded from the point of reference.
Without that, it will not build.
Since there are lot more files (related to the IDE as
well as some project build settings which link to
libraries in Win32) which have no close equivalents in
the non-Win32 world. Hence can't do patches.

How to avoid "authenticated user not found" - messages when using multiple Ldap userdbs/passdbs?
Following:
We've got a Dovecot 1.0.10 running on Ubuntu Hardy. Till now we used to
have only mail accounts under our own domain, but since we're also a
webhoster the people began to ask if there is a possibility to use there
own Domains in there mail address.
For addressing this we changed our Ldap Tree Structur: users which had
been there befor remain in there old subtree, new
