Off topic: Tcl/Tk outside R.
I'm trying to learn about the tcltk package and its uses. Floundering around a bit ... Have discovered Peter Dalgaard's articles in R-News, which should help. Also James Wettenhall's suite of examples look like they might be enlightening, even though the indications are that they are Windoze oriented. Be that as it were, I decided to fool around a bit with Tcl/Tk *outside* of R to

I did an update about 1/2 hr ago, and instead of failing to link with -O4, I'm getting an error elsewhere in the compile. Thanks for testing the release. Overall the test results look decent with a couple exceptions. You also have a few CBE failures that I am not seeing. What version of xcode do you have installed? Patch to allow checking of v1 keys on remote host.
The attached patch for 4.6p1 adds a feature (-u) that will check to see if a key exists on a remote host. I use this for auditing my users transition to v2 keys very useful. If there is any interest I'll provide a patch for v2 ssh keys also. http://vapid.dhs.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=vapidlabs:openssh_check_key_patch -- Thanks Larry --- orig/openssh-4.6p1/sshconnect1.c 2006-11-07

libsmbclient in Mac OS X / Darwin
Dear folks: First of all, thanks for a great product and please do keep up your fine job with samba. As a humble contribution to your project, below is a patch to configure.in that allows libsmbclient.so to be correctly built in my system (Mac with Mac OS X). I hope this to be useful. I also noted that the generated Makefile, did not correctly install the library as the 'install'
