ssh trouble checklist
Hi.
There should be a checklist of everything that can go wrong with
making an ssh connection.
Here's one entry for the list, which I didn't know before, and
* I couldn't see the problem from the -ddd and -vvv output, and
* there were no /var/log/* file entries to give hints.
Here's what I did
sudo kill <pid-of-sshd>
/usr/sbin/sshd
No good.
Usually I did kill

Shell auto-completion for ld.lld linker
Hi lld developers,
As a GSoC student I wrote static ld.lld auto-completion scripts for zsh and
bash shell because it doesn't have much options and flags for dynamic
completion. Whether I send pr to zsh-completion/bash-completion package or
open phabricator review for them? Also gnu ld has already autocompletion
for bash shell but l am not merging ld and lld completion scripts to one
file

Fail to build shells/zsh on 10.0-BETA1 due to conflict of 'bool' definition between rpcsvc/yp_prot.h and stdbool.h
On 10.0-BETA1 amd64, build of shells/zsh fails as following:

===> Fetching all distfiles required by zsh-5.0.2_1 for building
===> Extracting for zsh-5.0.2_1

Non-shell accounts and scp/sftp
Hi,
We have a CLI that certain users get dropped into when they log in. One of the things they can go is generate certificates (actually .p12 key/certificate bundles) that they will then scp out of the box from another host.
Problem is that if their default shell isn't sh, ash, dash, bash, zsh, etc. then things break. Is there a workaround to allow scp/sftp to continue to work even for

sftp should work regardless of the user's shell since it is invoked as
a ssh subsystem

Class methods do not work with Puppet 0.20
Hello puppet-users,
I am having trouble getting my manifests to apply with Puppet 0.20.
Here''s what I''ve got:
I have a generic box class to setup my home environment on a given
machine. The class is mostly made up of file types, but I also have a
few methods that include file and package types amongs others. eg:

scp scripting question
So, my manager, in zsh, can do the following:
scp -i =(ssh -qnx <snip> cat /etc/ks/ks_dsa) localfile server:/whereitgoes
Does anyone have any ideas what the syntax in bash is? I've been playing
with this for hours. My manager says that zsh treats the cat'd key as a
file, while if you try it with bash, replacing the = with <, it asks for
the passphrase of what must be a socket.

doveadm backup -R -m -s not picking up a new message
Good morning,
I use ?doveadm backup -R -m foo -s $state? to create a local mirror of
an imapc remote folder. When I run that command, wait for it to finish,
deliver a new message to the remote folder, and run that command again,
the new message does not get downloaded from the remote.
I'll attach the rawlog, doveconf, etc at the end. Allow me first to
summarize what I've already

winbind question
I could use some input to point out the error in my configuration, which
eludes me.
Previously I operated a 225-node cluster with samba 4.3 and sssd on the
Linux boxes. Everything worked OK.
Now I am using samba 4.11.6 on CentOS 7.7, patched up to date. The DC, on
a KVM VM, is the only node configured so far. I am using winbind in place
of sssd (my first experience with winbind). BIND9_DLZ

I don't think that zsh is really intended to be entirely POSIX compliant,
certainly not in its default configuration.
