Hi all, I've installed rsync-2.5.6 on a sun box (solaris 8). When I run rsync using the command rsync -a ssh /opt/local/pkgs/httpd/htdocs/ root@remotemachine:/mnt/ I get the error rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes read so far) rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(165) What could be the reason? Hi. Just a suggestion : in the ControlPath syntax, you could add a %H that would expand to the name of the "Host" specification matched, + %h. In my opinion, when you add a "Host" paragraph with a different name for the same target host, generally you dont want to reuse the same control socket. Of course you can write different ControlPath directives in each specification
