4.7p1 password auth broken on SCO OSR6
openssh 4.7p1 SCO OSR6 Password authentication is non-functional. This seems dependent on USE_LIBIAF which further depends on HAVE_LIBIAF (in defines.h), but there is no longer any code in configure to define the latter. Building with HAVE_LIBIAF defined enables password authentication, but only for non-long (<9 char) passwords, even though UNIXWARE_LONG_PASSWORDS seems to be defined. I

I redid my previous OPIE patch for the current ssh tree. It seems to work fine here, and I'ld love to see it merged before the 3.0 release. Problems Compiling sshd - OpenSSH 3.8p1 on Tru64 UNIX V4.0F PK#7 (OSF)
I am trying to compile sshd 3.8p1 on Tru64 UNIX V4.0F Patch Level 7. Previously I've compiled the entire 3.6.1p2 distribution with no problems. The problem seems to occur when linking sshd. The linker is unable to find xcrypt and shadow_pw functions (openbsd-compat/*.c). The libopenbsd-compat seems to have built without errors. I configure as follows: CC=cc CFLAGS=-O LDFLAGS=-non_shared

OSF_SIA bug in 2.3.0p1
Is anyone maintaining the OSF_SIA support in openssh? This seems to be an obvious bug triggered if you try to connect as a non-existant user. >From auth1.c line 459 #elif defined(HAVE_OSF_SIA) (sia_validate_user(NULL, saved_argc, saved_argv, get_canonical_hostname(), pw->pw_name, NULL, 0, NULL, "") == SIASUCCESS)) { #else /*

faI2ban detecting and banning but nothing happens
I've followed one of the pages on line specifically for installing fail2ban on Centos 7 and all looks fine. I've added a fail regex to /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/exim.conf as suggested on another page: \[<HOST>\]: 535 Incorrect authentication data which appears to be successfully matchnig lines in /var/log/exim/mail.log such as 2019-04-19 13:06:10 dovecot_plain

Problem accessing sub-methods of functions stored in a vector
Hi folks, I am having trouble accessing sub-functions when the main function is stored in an array. For example, the following test code works fine: fcns = c(abs, sqrt) fcns[[1]](-2) fcns[[2]](2) However, when I try to access sub-functions declared within list() in a function, this only works directly. When I try to access these within an array only the first declared sub-function is run.

Working with ListCtrl and ListItem
Hi List, I''m trying to get my ListCtrl to work. Currently I''ve managed to fill my ListCtrl with items, but I think it''s not the most beautiful way: class MyList < Wx::ListCtrl def initialize(parent, *args) super(parent, :style => Wx::LC_REPORT|LC_HRULES ) create_layout fill_list end def create_layout self.insert_column(0, "Name")

Fix AFS and Kerberos interaction
Hello, I going to use ssh with Kerberos V5 support along with support for AFS. I don't want to use Kerberos V4 or AFS token passing. The only thing I need from AFS is creating an AFS token (using appropriate function from krb5 API) after user's authentication. It seems to me that such scenario is not much supported by the current code. Rather it is assumed only Kerberos 4 will be used

openssh-3.1p1 on GNU/Hurd
Hi, I've gone and ported the latest version of openssh, 3.1p1, to GNU/Hurd. I've tried to learn from the other threads on this topic, but I still had to get rid of MAXHOSTNAMELEN where I could. Application Metadata
Hi, I'm sorry to say that I've found the libFLAC++ interface and documentation pretty slim and baffling. What I need to do is add some application-specific metadata to a FLAC file (i'm using the FLAC++ fileencoder). It is currently just a string of characters, which doesn't need to be null-terminated. I've looked through the docs, i've looked through the tests, and

greater than 8 character passwords on Unixware (IA database support)
I made some quick changes to support the IA security thing in Uniware 7.1.1. I wish I understood all of this well enough to make a proper patch to include new defines and what not. I tried and made a mess. Hopefully I can get a better grasp this weekend. The only files I changed were xcrypt.c and Makefile. Makefile needed -lcrypt and -liaf added to LIBS=. It had -lcrypto but needed -lcrypt for

vanilla build of 7.7p1 release on linux/4.17 fails with gcc8 @ "/usr/bin/ld: unrecognized option '-Wl,-z,retpolineplt'"

Mine is $ ld --version GNU ld version 2.29.1-23.fc28 -- Darren Tucker (dtucker at dtucker.net) GPG key 11EAA6FA / A86E 3E07 5B19 5880 E860 37F4 9357 ECEF 11EA A6FA (new) Good judgement comes with experience.
