ssh(1) documentation for -L and -R
I found that the documentation for -L and -R was hard to understand.
So I made some changes to try to make it clearer. I started with Revision
1.328 from http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/usr.bin/ssh/ssh.1
Comments welcome.

openssh 4.6p1 closing connection with strange packet length
server is running openssh 4.6p1 on linux x86 (32bit)
client is running openssh 4.6p1 on linux x86_64 (64bit)
Just connecting from the client to the server and running "top" long
enough results in:
Disconnecting: Bad packet length 3690378913.
This seems like a 32/64 bit problem to me.

imap and vpopmail: per-domain auth
Hi, i have qmail + vpopmail + dovecot + squirrelmail 0.99.14 on Fedora
Core 4. Qmail includes its own pop3 server, and everybody is able to
access it from outside. Dovecot is used only locally by SquirrelMail -
so everybody can access via webmail.
I'd like to make imap directly available from outside, but only for a
few selected domains (NOT ip addresses!), while leaving everyone able to

calling dovecot exported auth from Java
As far as I have been able to figure out, dovecot auth always works over
a Unix domain socket. I believe it is not currently possible to operate
dovecot auth over an Internet domain (TCP) socket. Am I correct?
I want to call dovecot's exported authentication from a Java
application. Java doesn't natively know how to talk to a Unix domain
socket, so there are inconveniences. There

[PATCH] efi: reuse UDP port with sendto
Without an assigned source port, Transmit function assign a random new
source port to the packet being sent. It thus have to be set before
calling Transmit if the source port have already been decided.
Conversly, we have to save the assigned port to reuse it later if
needed.
Resolve bug #35.

[PATCH 0/1] Network UEFI PXE DHCP/proxyDHCP fix
from: Jeff Sloan <jeff_sloan at selinc.com>
Update UEFI PXE proxyDHCP handling.
This patch is based on commit ID 8a00e49
Modify two files to specify valid ip addresses. These files are efi/pxe.c
and efi/udp.c.
In efi/pxe.c: In net_parse_dhcp function.
If ProxyOffer has been received, start with DhcpAck packet since it is the
most complete. This requires a minimum of changes to the

syslinux.efi pxeboot across multiple subnets
I did change both instances of txdata->GatewayAddress, but I think
something may be wrong in my toolchain. If I extract syslinux.zip and
attempt to make from there (without modifying any files), the cached DHCP
packet isn't read on the same subnet.
I receive "Succeed to download NBP file." twice before anything from
syslinux is loaded, so I believe the duplicate request for

de-posixifying list tests?
Rafael, Filipe,
I am looking at the fixes you apply to sanitizer tests and they worry me.
(e.g. https://reviews.llvm.org/D31498)
The fixes are mostly mechanical and thus every single change looks safe,
but given the amount of changes there is large risk to cripple some of the
tests
in a way that they will stop detecting failures.
When I write a test for new functionality, I always verify that

right match rule for port and address in sshd_config
Greetings,
I want to create a set of rules that will be in affect when I connection originates from outside of my local lan (internet) and on a specific port, this is what I've wrote:
Match LocalPort 11111, Address *,!10.0.0.0/24
but when I start ssh, I get this error:
Invalid LocalPort '11111,' on Match line
/etc/ssh/sshd_config line 176: Bad Match condition
why is that? how can I

force port redirection for list of users
Hi ,
I have the following requirement .
other than following users, any other user sshd connection should be
redirected to 2024 instead of port 22.
root, ftp, guest
So
ssh root at ip // should be sent to sshd running at port 22
ssh otheruser at ip // should be sent to sshd running at port 2024
I know that we can do something like this:
ssh -o ProxyCommand='ssh -W localhost:2024 cliuser

[PATCH 2/5] ntfs: remove unused variable and have ntfssect use char API calls
The variable 'ok' is never used and generates a warning. Remove it. Also
ntfssect.c is designed to be compiled in non Unicode mode when using
MSVC compilers, so remove all ambiguity about it (LPCTSTR -> LPCSTR, use
of 'A' API calls) so that it doesn't break when compiled in Unicode
mode, which is what Rufus uses with MSVC.

Controlling SO_RCVBUF
I have a customer who is complaining about slow SFTP transfers over a long haul connection. The current transfer rate is limited by the TCP window size and the RTT. I looked at HPN-SSH, but that won't work because we don't control what software the peer is using. I was thinking about coding a much more modest enhancement that just does SO_RCVBUF for specific subsystems. In the interest

HTTP blocked?
I just installed CentOS 5 and put ZoneMinder on it. Everything seems to
be working fine, except I can't access the web pages from a remote
computer, even if it's on the same LAN. If I lynx to the webpage from the
server itself the web page comes up. I checked iptables and there doesn't
seem to be any block there. There is no firewall within my LAN that would
block port 80. Any other
