Patch: sftp client support of "ls [flags] [path [localfile]]" feature
Hello, I just downloaded OpenSSH 3.5p1. This version has some great improvement in sftp client. But I still miss the FTP's "ls [flags] remote-path [localpath]" feature to redirect the output of ls/dir to a local file. The following are the diff outputs against 3.5p1 to enable this feature. *** sftp-int.c.orig Wed Sep 11 20:34:15 2002 --- sftp-int.c Fri Oct 18 13:39:46 2002

[PATCH] Adds support for Append command (SSH_FXF_APPEND) to sftp_client
Dear list, Attached is a patch that implements the "append" command in a sftp session, as describe in "draft-ietf-secsh-filexfer-01" and further releases. It is for and had been tested on the current version of OpenSSH (the Portable CVS) and it works, also against non patched versions. The patch is "simple" it it just like the "do_upload" function in

[PATCH] Add getlink command to sftp
One of the features missing in sftp is the ability to transfer a symlink. This patch adds a new command to sftp which performs this transfer. Note that it uses messages that already exist in the protocol between client and server. This diff is based on OpenSSH 3.4p1. *** sftp-client.c@@\main\1 Tue Oct 1 17:26:20 2002 --- sftp-client.c Wed Oct 23 15:57:34 2002 *************** *** 666,672 ****

Subsystem sftp invoked even though forced command created
This is a new branch of an old thread, made necessary because the email system here purges sent messages after a period of time so I can't reply to the last message in the thread. The operative portion of that last message (retrieved from the archives and dated July 3, 2023) follows: /*****/ So I set up a fresh key to use for this test, and gave it similar parameters. I wasn't aware of

RFE: idle timeout/auto-daemonize combo
Hi there, I would like to have SSH connections be more "sudo-like". With that I mean, when I ssh/scp/sftp to a host and disconnect, the channel is held open for a while in case I reconnect. I wrote a script (attached) that does this. It starts a master SSH daemon for the connection if needed. Then it exec()s SSH. Just put it in your path and use perssh instead of ssh. It has some

OpenSSH - SFTP issue
Hello, We are having issue with SFTP for Windows server. The OpenSSH reports the "Exit Staus -1" upon exiting the sftp session ( Though the file is successfully getting transferred!!). I have opened ticket with VanDyke Software - vShell and reported this issue. Accordiong to VanDyke Software, there is no issue with vShell configuration / its debug logs. Would you

Hi, when trying to install openssh I get the following errors. Any idea of why? This is on a mac 10.4.10 system, and with the 4.7p1 version. Appreciate any tips. Thanks, Anil if test ! -z ""; then \ /usr/bin/perl ./fixprogs ssh_prng_cmds ; \ fi (cd openbsd-compat && make) make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'. gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wpointer-arith -Wuninitialized

add scp path to _PATH_STDPATH
what do you think about this patch to add the path to scp to _PATH_STDPATH? is there a better or cleaner way to do this? i'm hoping to ward off 'scp doesn't work' questions for the next release. i did *not* add this to a --with-default-path path, because if a user specifies that, they should control its value completely. Phantom DNS records visible with dig, but not samba-tool dns
We appear to have some phantom DNS records on both our domain controllers. We can see the records using "dig", but not with samba-tool. We can't remove the records either. (v-ward and v-fief are the DCs, Hawaii and Alaska are old DCs which were demoted without errors, I'm trying to clean up some DNS records which don't seem to have been cleaned). All machines are

p-values pvclust maximum distance measure
Hi, I am new to clustering and was wondering why pvclust using "maximum" as distance measure nearly always results in p-values above 95%. I wrote an example programme which demonstrates this effect. I uploaded a PDF showing the results Here is the code which produces the PDF file: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- s <-

EMA Package
Hi, I'm currently using EMA package to make clustering and heatmaps. The online doc concerning the package gives the following example code: data(marty) c<-clustering(marty, metric="pearson", method="ward") clustering.plot(c, title="Hierarchical Clustering\nPearson-Ward") which is working perfectly, However, when I'm changing the method to

kmeans Clustering
Dear WizaRds, My goal is to program the VS-KM algorithm by Brusco and Cradit 01 and I have come to a complete stop in my efforts. Maybe anybody is willing to follow my thoughts and offer some help. In a first step, I want to use a single variable for the partitioning process. As the center-matrix I use the objects that belong to the cluster I found with the hierarchial Ward algorithm. Then,

what is used as height in hclust for ward linkage?
Dear R community, I am trying to understand how the ward linkage works from a quantitative point of view. To test it I have devised a simple 3-members set: G = c(0,2,10) The distances between all couples are: d(0,2) = 2 d(0,10) = 10 d(2,10) = 8 The smallest distance corresponds to merging 0 and 2. The corresponding ESS are: ESS(0,2) = 2*var(c(0,2)) = 4 ESS(0,10)

Cluster analysis: dissimilar results between R and SPSS
Hello everyone! My data is composed of 277 individuals measured on 8 binary variables (1=yes, 2=no). I did two similar cluster analyses, one on SPSS 18.0 and one on R 2.9.2. The objective is to have the means for each variable per retained cluster. 1) the R analysis ran as followed: > call data > dist=dist(data, method="euclidean") >

Quiero,

clustering with hclust
Hi everybody, I have a problem with a cluster analysis. I am trying to use hclust, method=ward. The Ward method works with SQUARED Euclidean distances. Hclust demands "a dissimilarity structure as produced by dist". Yet, dist does not seem to produce a table of squared euclidean distances, starting from cosines. In fact, computing manually the squared euclidean distances from cosines
