Handling of SIGUSR1 in dispatch.fcgi
The latest version of dispatch.fcgi in the trunk has
the following code snippet:
trap("USR1") do
# Go to exit as soon as possible.
end
One of the issues I encountered while debugging
fcgi under windows is that SIGUSR1 is not supported
in the native Windows version of Ruby (though it is
in cygwin).
Currently, I have it commented out to allow dispatch.fcgi
to run without blowing up.

[nbdkit PATCH] vddk: Make 'file=' a magic key
Since it is required, it might as well be magic ;)
Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com>
---
As written, applies on top of my v3 patch for dlopen; but it would
be easy enough to rebase and take this one now even if we aren't
sure about the dlopen stuff

[libnbd PATCH v2 0/2] opt_list_meta_context
In v2: ack'ed preliminary patches have been pushed, and I've added a
lot of testsuite coverage as well as putting the new API to use in
nbdinfo.
Eric Blake (2):

[libnbd PATCH 0/3] opt_list_meta_context
I'm posting this now, as I'm at the end of a workday and I got things
working for manual experimentation.
Still to do:
- write interop tests for qemu-nbd and nbdkit (including my proposed
patch addition of qemu-nbd -A to show qemu:allocation-depth)
- figure out if we can make 'nbdinfo --map' use the new API to
automatically select all contexts advertised by the server

Extending nbdkit to support listing exports
Hi Eric, Nir.
$SUBJECT - it's complicated! Imagine a scenario where we have
extended the file plugin so you can point it at a directory and it
will use the client-supplied export name to select a file to serve.
Also we have extended the tar filter so that you can map tar file
components into export names. You may be able to see where this is
going ...
Now we point the file plugin at a

PXE-capable NIC listing?
Trey,
The Compaq NC7770 PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter supports PXE:
http://www.compaq.com/products/servers/networking/NC7770/
This NIC will be available next month. Also, our strategy is to support PXE on all ProLiant server embedded NICs (10/100/1000) beginning with G2 (generation2) models. Also, most existing DL and all BL servers currently support PXE on their embedded (10/100) NICs. Let

[PATCH v2 nbdkit] tests: Add generic requires.
v1 was here:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-January/thread.html#00198
For v2 I changed most existing prerequisite tests to use the new
mechanism.
I only changed simple tests. There are a few more complex tests that
don't fit the “requires model” and those are not changed.
I normalized qemu-io/qemu-img testing to always use the --version
flag, where previously we used a mix

[nbdkit PATCH 0/8] fd leak safety
There's enough here to need a review; some of it probably needs
backporting to stable-1.12.
This probably breaks tests on Haiku or other platforms that have not
been as on-the-ball about atomic CLOEXEC; feel free to report issues
that arise, and I'll help come up with workarounds (even if we end up
leaving a rare fd leak on less-capable systems).
Meanwhile, I'm still working on my
