Dovecot configure script for 1.0b8 not including SQL drivers?
I am having a problem with the configure script for Dovecot 1.0b8. It
doesn't seem to be compiling in sql engine driver support. I have
specified --with-sql and --with-pgsql but when the script is done it
says "Building with SQL drivers ..............:" but lists no drivers
afterwards. I tried compiling it anyway but it logs the error "

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Get dlerror() messages
Hello,
Attached is a simple fix for getting error messages from dlerror in
LoadLibraryPermanently. The current code modifies the value of a pointer
that is passed by value, so the caller never gets the message.
Hope this helps,
Julien

FreeBSD 3.1 & OpenSSH 1.2.3
Hi all,
I am trying to get OpenSSH working on an i386 BSD 3.1 box we have.
Everything compiles OK, installs, and I can launch SSHD.
Here is a sample session of sshd with the debug switch:
<BEGIN SSHD OUTPUT, NAMES CHANGED TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT :)>
computer# /usr/local/sbin/sshd -d
debug: sshd version OpenSSH-1.2.3
debug: Bind to port 22 on 0.0.0.0.
Server listening on 0.0.0.0 port 22.

openssh-2.5.1p1 problem on redhat 6.2
Hi,
I built rpm from openssh-2.5.1p1 srpm on redhat 6.2,
then installed it. When trying to ssh from other machine,
sshd gives error:

dovecot-auth: Too many open files
All,
[version: dovecot-0.99.11-4.EL4.src.rpm]
We recently experienced an issue that prevented all new IMAP logins from
occurring. Although it appears that it was due to running out of
available system file descriptors, I'm still not sure what the true root
cause was as I can't replicate the same error in our test environment.
The system file descriptor max was set at (per `cat

[LLVMdev] questions about shared library ...
During my project, it was very slow when I linked my program with the
static libraries vmcore, asmparser, and support.a.
Then I tried to compile these LLVM modules as shared libraries, by set
SHARED_LIBRARY = 1 for those makefiles. It did generate the *.so libraries.
However, when I linked with the shared libraries, it always complained that

Strange issue with pam_smbpass
Hello all!!
Something strange is happening recently with pam_smbpass.so.
I get the errors:
passwd: PAM unable to dlopen(pam_smbpass.so)
passwd: PAM [dlerror: pam_smbpass.so: undefined symbol: ldap_value_free]
passwd: PAM adding faulty module: pam_smbpass.so
And the passwd command returns "Module unknown".
The rest of Samba is working fine as a PDC - can log in, out, copy
files, etc.

ssh + ldap issues
In an effort to install cfengine (which requires 0.96b + of ssl), we've
had to recompile all sorts of related packages on our RedHat 6.2 boxes.
In addition, we're trying to implement an LDAP directory. Basically
the source RPMS for RedHat 7.3 were installed and compiled on a 6.2 box
to get this all to work.
We're running into the following problem on the 6.2 boxes after having

Problems with SFTP
Guys,
Once again I need some help I hope you can give me. When I try to SFTP to
any of my PCs (also running openssh) from my Xscale (ARM,
big-endian) system sftp segfaults on me. Sftp to the xscale system works
without any problems. I'm using openssl-0.9.8b (with ocf support),
linux-2.6.16 and openssh 4.3p2 on the Xscale system. One of the systems I
try to sftp to runs Openssh 3.7.1p2, with

Can Asterisk ring a specific extension based on the number the outside caller dialed?
I am thinking of having a pots line with multiple numbers on it, and having
Asterisk dial my desk if the outside caller dials xxx-xxx-xxx1, and ring
another desk if the person called xxx-xxx-xxx2, etc.
Can Asterisk do this?

[PATCH nbdkit 2/3] server: Inject API functions for Windows
From: Yifan Gu <gyf304@gmail.com>

Problems after having crosscompiled for XScale
Dear OpenSSH developers,
I tried porting OpenSSH-4.3p2 to arm-linux (IXP425 Xscale platform)
using openssl-0.9.8b and uClibc. This on the snapgear 3.2.0
distribution. It all compiles without problems, but when i run any
openssh executable it will always show output similar to the following:
# ssh
sh: /usr/bin/ssh: No such file or directory
#
I checked for the libraries, they are all in /lib.
