[PATCH] Do PAM chauthtok via keyboard-interactive.
Hi All. Attached is another patch that attempts to do pam_chauthtok() via SSH2 keyboard-interactive authentication. It now passes the results from the authentication thread back to the monitor (based on a suggestion from djm). Because of this, it doesn't call do_pam_account twice and consequently now works on AIX 5.2, which the previous version didn't. I haven't tested it on any

Hello dear list, I've recently discovered 'doveadm stats' and I'm trying to use "doveadm stats dump user" and "doveadm stats dump session" to understand the pop/imap users that put more stress on the hard disks. My problem is that some users refuse to delete their emails from the server, so they keep 20GB of maildir files on the server, the webmail (roundcube)

NGROUPS_MAX on Linux
Linux has just raised the NGROUPS_MAX limit from 32 to 64k. In doing an audit of various tools, openssh turned up as having incorrect groups handling. Almost no user-space apps really care about NGROUPS_MAX. A proposed patch (untested, since the CVS build won't compile on my RH box.. :-/) : What think? I present: The Elusive 'fixprogs' script
Hi, Here's the 'fixprogs' perl script that got missed off the 2.1.0p1 distribution. Please put this in your openssh directory, and re-run 'make install'. it doesn't need to be made executable. For those interested, it runs through all the commands in the ssh_prng_cmds file and tests if they work (as opposed to 'configure' merely verifying that the executable

NGROUPS_MAX
Currently openssh (3.4p1) relies on the NGROUPS_MAX define. This makes the number of allowed simultaneous (per-user) secondary groups a compile-time decision. $ find . -name \*.c | xargs grep NGROUPS_MAX ./groupaccess.c:static char *groups_byname[NGROUPS_MAX + 1]; /* +1 for base/primary group */ ./groupaccess.c: gid_t groups_bygid[NGROUPS_MAX + 1]; ./uidswap.c:static gid_t

Small bug in mux_master_read_cb()
I'm looking at the code from CVS as of May 21. The statement to allocate the mux state is allocating the size of a pointer, instead of the size of the struct being pointed to. The bug is benign in the original code because the struct has only an int element inside it, but it would corrupt memory if the struct were to be extended. Simple fix here: diff --git a/mux.c b/mux.c index

OpenSSH Linux portable patch proposal
Dear OpenSSH Developers, I would like to propose a patch to OpenSSH for Linux. In the recent few months, I have encountered a scenario where a PAM module used for authentication in SSH should be informed about the previous successful authentication methods. I described the complete scenario here:

ListenAdress Exclusion
I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on a simpler way to exclude addresses from having listeners on them. I know a lot of people have multiple subnets, especially larger corporations. Some networks are non-route-able, and therefor unsuitable for use with SSH, aside from communication between other servers on the same subnet. Given that we may want to exclude those non-route-able

prng_cmds/init_rng() question/patch
I have a need to provide ssh client binaries for use elsewhere on several platforms, some without /dev/random support. I can't assume that users will know how to install/run prngd or egd, so I was planning to rely on the builtin prng code. However this require the ssh_prng_cmds file to exist in a fixed location -- which would mean making binaries which either look for it in . or other

HostKey in hardware?
Hi, Is there any way to store HostKey in hardware (and delegate the related processing)? I have been using Roumen Petrov's x509 patch for clients, which works via an OpenSSL engine, but it does not seem to support server HostKey: http://roumenpetrov.info/pipermail/ssh_x509_roumenpetrov.info/2012q4/000019.html For PKCS#11, I have found an email on this list from a year back suggesting this
