3.0.2p1 under IRIX (coredumps)
Hello,
I am unable to build a working OpenSSH 3.0.2p1 for IRIX 6.5 using either
1. gcc 2.95.3 + binutils 2.11.2
2. SGI MIPSpro cc, CC=cc, LD=/usr/bin/ld, CFLAGS='-mips3 -n32'
Under both setups:
- zlib seems to build fine
- OpenSSL seems to build fine and tests out okay
- OpenSSH builds, and then:
openssh-3.0.2p1 % ./ssh -v myhost

SecurID
When comparing SSH 1.2.27 with OpenSSH 2.5.1 I see that the SecurID
code/patch is not in OpenSSH 2.5.1.
I'm not sure how or why that happened.
Upon looking through the OpenSSH 2.5.1 source, I think I could fairly
easily provide a 'SecurID Authentication Method' patch (which would
rely on -DHAVE_SECURID, -I/blah/securid/include, and
-L/blah/securid/lib... /blah/securid being a

Coding help : Where to log X11 forwards?
OpenSSH 5.1p1
I can't grasp why, when connecting with 'ssh -Y' to this
test host, I am not tickling the verbose() call below that
I have added.
I am logging as auth + verbose in sshd_config
The X11 forward for the session works fine as tested with
xterm.
At any rate, I am looking for some guidance on where
to log X11 forwards that are established, ideally with
a username and remote

Compiling openssh v6.5 with --with-ssl-dir not working
Hello,
I am trying to compile openssh v6.5p1 with openssl-1.0.1f and it doesn't seem to find
my custom openssl libraries and defaults to the system version. This has been working on all
previous openssh version until v6.5. Is this a bug ? More details below:
[root at test openssh-6.5p1]# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/openssh-6.5p1 --with-tcp-wrappers --with-selinux --with-kerberos5

Have configure search $PATH for krb5-config
Hi All.
Right now, if OpenSSH is configure'ed --with-kerberos5 and the system
has a krb5-config that's not in /usr/local/bin then configure won't find it.
The attached patch changes this so krb5-config will be used if it's
anywhere in the path (although if it exists in the directory specified
by --with-kerberos5= then the user-supplied path will take precedence).
You will

OpenSSH and Kerberos / Active Directory authentication problems: Credentials cache permission incorrect / No Credentials Cache found
Greetings,
I'm working on the infrastructure of a medium size client/server
environment using an Active Directory running on Windows Server 2003 for
central authentication of users on linux clients.
Additionally OpenAFS is running using Kerberos authentication through
Active Directory as well.
Now I want to grant users remote access to their AFS data by logging in
into a central OpenSSH

[PATCH] Use krb5-config if avaialable for Kerberos parameters
Hi.
I've had this patch a while (and I posted an earlier version a while
back): it tries to use krb5-config to obtain the Kerberos build options.
If it's not available, or isn't in the path specified to --with-kerberos5
then the existing behaviour is kept.
It seems to work for me with MIT and Heimdal. I got some feedback from one
person, would any of the Kerberos-using folk care to

Compiling openssh-3.9p1 Without Kerberos
I'm trying to compile openssh-3.9p1 for an embedded Linux distro without
kerberos support. I pass the flag --without-kerberos5 to configure and
the script output indicates that I've chosen to not link against the
kerberos libs:
OpenSSH has been configured with the following options:
User binaries: /usr/local/bin
System binaries: /usr/local/sbin

Kerberized Telnet Badly Broken (Patch enclosed)
Ugh.
With MAKE_KERBEROS5=yes, on a recent STABLE,
I get the following trying to use Kerberized telnet:

Trying 66.166.149.54...
Connected to big.x.kientzle.com.

respective platforms if they wish them to be supported out of the tar file.
So if you have any patches you need to ensure your platform works speak

I believe I have an AIX/Cray patch and a Tru64 patch sitting in my mailbox
that I'll be looking at soon and more than likely

5.1p1 and X11 forwarding failing
I'm really scratching my head on this one. The server
is running OpenSSH 5.1p1 on Solaris 9. The authentication
is via PAM if that matters.

X11Forwarding yes
X11DisplayOffset 10
X11UseLocalhost yes

Now I attach to my 'master' sshd and follow all children
to look for any evidence of "DISPLAY":

SSH + Kerberos Password auth
Hello,
I have a question about SSH with Kerberos password authentication .
Do I receive any host ticket to my client machine when I do ssh connection
with Kerberos password authenticaiton? If dont, why?
If I login to remote machine through telnet with Kerberos Password
authentication [through PAM-kerberos], then I can see the tickets with
klist. But with the same setup for sshd, I cannot see
