Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
Hi, You need to have completely replaced the Microsoft driver, because it doesn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me fits! I followed the instructions at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga. If you end

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneorX-lite
I am able to pickup, hangup, and flash, using the buttons on the phone with all of the soft clients and both of the headsets I mentioned below. I don't believe I had to change anything on the client side, just had to get the ctp (cordless telephone profile) working in the bluetooth stack, which was a pita. I struggled with the same issue...I could use the headset, but that's not very handy

Bluetooth phone as SIP handset?
Even better you can set your firefly softphone to auto answer so that you don't even need to be near the pc to answer. RE: Bluetooth discussions (quick glance to some BT products)
There are somes products available claiming to connect a BT headset, a cell phone and a phone land line all together. I've found some : http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=2079 http://www.clipcomm.co.kr/ The clipcomm BS-A101 sample price is : $570. It's VoIP land phone that can make/receive a voice call using your CTP cell phone or BT-enabled headset. Maybe the best system

Proximity Detection: Motorola Q + Bluetooth + Asterisk
Hi, Can anyone tell me if the Motorola Q has its Bluetooth always on like the IPhone? I want to use the Motorola Q in a Proximity Detection setup like that described on nerdvittles.com. I know the Treo 650 does not work well since the display must be on for the bluetooth to be on and this eats power. Thanks Chuck Bunn

Bluetooth headsets/phones.
Has anyone managed to use a bluetooth headset or phone with their install of Asterisk? What I had in mind was either have a headset paired with the server and use that to answer/make calls in some way, or forward the calls to my mobile via bluetooth if that's possible. -- -S

chan_bluetooth, no voice
I am running Asterisk 1.0.9 with chan_bluetooth (kernel 2.6.11) I have managed to get the module loaded and it connects to my phone and dials (Nokia 6310i) okay, but once the call connects I hear no sound on either end. It is not who I am calling since it works with any other bluetooth headset or without one. It isn't the SIP phone or codecs because they work with any other number. I think

Sip phone with Bluetooth - does it exist?
Anyone know if a Sip phone with bluetooth for a wireless headset exists? If so does anyone have any recommendations? Or maybe a Wifi/Sip headset? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... chan_bluetooth, mobile handset as VoIP terminal?
I have been looking at chan_bluetooth, so far being unable to make it compile with Asterisk SVN trunk. I was wondering about the different ways it can be used. What I have read so far implies two possibilities: 1. Asterisk pretends to be a handsfree unit, and can use the cell phone for placing calls over the mobile network, or answer inbound calls from the mobile network. 2. Asterisk

GSM phones, bluetooth and general happiness
When I installed my first home-PBX three years ago, I was looking at "cellsockets" -- devices which will accept certain cellular phones and provide an RJ11 jack, generating the ring-voltage and recognizing DTMF, which in turn makes your cell-phone look like a CO line. Pretty cool stuff, in theory, but it just didn't seem to be worth the cost, especially since it locks you to a

Anyone having any luck with Bluetooth?
I have read all the wiki's and blogs and how to links about Bluetooth but so far no luck. I can confirm that CentOS5 sees my Bluetooth adapter and my cell phone. No Joy on Asterisk 1.4. The information out there is kind of confusing as there is a lot of outdated info sometimes referring to software no longer actively developed. What I think I have managed to conclude is that there is a

How to get Centos to recognize a Motorola RAZR V3 as a USB device?
I have a mini-USB cable, but simply connecting a Motorola RAZR to a Linux (Centos 6) PC to download stored pictures doesn't work, at least not automatically. Any idea what I need to do to get Centos to recognize that a Motorola RAZR V3 is plugged in as a USB device? (I don't have a data plan on this phone - I'm just trying to get archived pictures off of it onto the computer.)
