Linux 4.2p1 crash during reverse name lookup
4.0p1 and 4.2p1 are affected for me, I'm using Linux based around a FC2
build (~2 years old).
I'm trying to login with password authentication from psftp.exe (part of
PuTTY) but it.
Maybe this bug isn't with OpenSSH itself but a supporting library, I
would appreciate your assistance in tracking down the problem.
I have tried getting a 'core' file out of SSH with

OpenSSH 4.0p1 segfaults on keyboard-interactive login
Hi folks,
I've compiled the new OpenSSH 4.0p1 on my Linux box running
Fedora Core 2 (kernel 2.6.10) the same way as I did with 3.9p1
and all previous versions.
Key-based login works fine, but if I login from a host that
require me to enter my login password (keyboard-interactive),
then the sshd child process segfaults.
Don't know if this is specific to my system or to Linux in
general.

Hi folks...!!!
I´ve a problem that i did not solve it.
i want to limit the DOWNLOAD to my hosts (upstream traffic for the firewall)

so after NAT my IP address in

multipl disk failures cause zpool hang
Hi,
There seems to be a few threads about zpool hang, do we have a
workaround to resolve the hang issue without rebooting ?
In my case, I have a pool with disks from external LUNs via a fiber
cable. When the cable is unplugged while there is IO in the pool,
All zpool related command hang (zpool status, zpool list, etc.), put the
cable back does not solve the problem.
Eventually, I

Unusual bug in glusterfsd
Hi,
I'm rather new to this project, having stumbled across it earlier this
afternoon, so forgive me if I'm still trying to find my way around. I
was in the need of an alternative to NFS that would let me spread the
task of sharing my downloaded source code files across a couple of
boxes, and GlusterFS looked like a great candidate, having had no luck
with Coda or OpenAFS.

Samba 4.3.11 accessing disk every minute
The latest version that Western Digital has shipped with the My cloud devices accesses the disk
about twice a minute. The access to /dev/sda2 is causing the system to keep the disk from going
into standby mode. I don't understand the call to quotactl every minute when no one is trying to access the share.
An strace of one of the processes shows the following:

only root without password
Hi all,
I have a very strange problem with the public key authentication with 2
machines.
I generated the key, configured the authorized_keys etc.. etc.. This is
all ok, now:
The ssh works without the password for the "root" user, any other user
cannot use the key and ssh ask me for the password !!
I cannot understand why only the root is able to connect without the
password. So, the ssh

smbd using alot of cpu
I have an smbd process that is using alot of cpu on HP-UX 11.11 using
Samba 2.2.3a. It looks like the application on the client side is trying
to open and close a ton of files, many of which do not exist. When I do
a trace on the smbd process, I see repeated calls to lstat64 to what
looks like all of the device files on my unix server. Here is a little
bit of the trace. It goes through all of the

Hello,
i sync with imapsync from an archiopteryx-server to an dovecot-server, for

The dovecot is inside an VM. storage for mail is on an nfs-share, indexes

What i now see, is, on large folder( 58000 messages and more) the load
on the imap-process
is very high, and slowdown the transferprocess.
Is there something, I can do. Whats cause the high load ind the
