Converting SSH2 keys for use in OpenSSH
I have a couple of keys generated using the F-Secure SSH2 client. I have converted those keys using "ssh-keygen -i -f samplekey.txt >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys". When I try and log into the OpenSSH server using those keys, OpenSSH rejects using those keys.
I am under the assumption that this is supposed to work. If I connect using a password, there is no problem. It just does not

checking for "dh_gen_key: group too small" errors
On Ubuntu 12.04 / OpenSSH_5.9p1 Debian-5ubuntu1 trying to initiate a
connection with hmac-sha2-512 and diffie-hellman-group1-sha1 results in
OpenSSH killing the connection after the SSH_MSG_KEXINIT packet is sent.
The OpenSSH error logs state the following:

How to remove group1 and group14 from OpenSSH..
Hello everyone.. I am fairly new to the patching format.. so I just decided to post a basic info
about how to remove group1 and group14 diffie key exchange in OpenSSH.
I know that they are listed as required in RFC 4253 but I don't want a client to have the choice
to use a 1024 bit prime for the key exchange. If someone is getting into my system.. they should
upgrade to a new client. I am a

failure during key exchange?
I have been contacted by some people who are having a problem with
transfer files using OpenSSH 4.1p1 with the HPN patch. I've taken a look
at their problem and I don't think its a problem with the HPN code so I
thought I would bounce it over here to see if anyone here has some insight.
In brief the connection is dying without spitting out an error message
during the key exchange. Of

With bounds checking patch for gcc-3.1 problems if using AES
Hello developers,
some informations before I come to the problem:
At work we're using Open-SSH 3.4p1 under Solaris 8. I compiled the
Open-SSH by myself with gcc-3.1. In the gcc is the bounds checking patch
included
(http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/Haj.Ten.Brugge/bounds-checking-gcc-3.1-1.01.patch.bz2).
With this patch I compiled:
- prngd 0.9.25
- zlib 1.1.4
- Open-SSL 0.9.6d

OpenSSH 4.0p1 ignoring password authentication
Hello,
I recently compiled OpenSSH 4.0p1 with OpenSSL 0.9.7g on my Linux
2.6.11.3 machine. When I try to connect, the connection is
immediately closed. When I setup public key authentication, I am able
to login using my public key. However password authentication seems to
be ignored. I attached debugging output from both the server and
client.

OpenSSH_4.7p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8g Host Key Verification Failed
Greetings,
I am trying to cross compile OpenSSH 4.7 for ppc with QNX Neutrino as my OS.
I have a workstation with QNX on it (x86) and I have linked the utils used
by autoconf to their ppc versions. I have been able to successfully build
sshd/ssh. I copy the binaries built on the x86 to the ppc, and sshd works
great. I can ssh from any machine to it, but when I try to ssh from the ppc
machine to

Included windows 10, several linux. 2x is a solaris host.
That problem host (gv) can connect to all others but 2x.
2x can connect to all other encluding the problem host (gv)
So gv ssh to 2x throws this error:

192.168.1.42 is 2x. So incoming ssh from gv to 2x

I have a problem with Cygwin OpenSSH, I hope somebody can help me out.
Since we reinstalled our machine we can't connect any external hosts,
but we can connect the gateway server.
The same box is when booted up with linux (Debian unstable) just works fine.

OpenSSH 2.9.9p2 on Solaris 8 buffer_get problem
Hi there,
I have a weird problem with OpenSSH 2.9.9p2 on Solaris 8. Whenever I try
to use ssh, scp or sftp to connect to the Solaris box, the connection is
closed by the server and the following msg logged thru syslog:
"sshd[542]: fatal: buffer_get: trying to get more bytes 129 than in

I tried from an RH 7.1 client (2.9.9p2), from a Solaris 8 client

Diffie Hellman key exchange algorithms
A few questions regarding the OpenSSH support for the Diffie Hellman key exchange algorithms:
(1) Are the diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256",
"diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha1"
, "diffie-hellman-group14-sha1" "diffie-hellman-group1-sha1" (as
defined in RFCs 4253 and RFC 4419) the complete list of key exchange
algorithms supported by OpenSSH?
(2) Is there a
