BUG: Bad grep when building dovecot?
Is dovecot *really* that picky about grep, or did it just happen to pick
up an autoconf that's being overly pedantic?
I saw this message a couple of times when googling, but no particularly
good solution presents itself. I'll probably give it a new GNU grep
just to get it to shut up, but I'm a bit surprised.
I tried to compile dovecot in an OpenSolaris 2008.5 system in a zone

smbclient ( 3.0.31 ) can not connect to 3.2.0 server and vice versa
This is getting real tough to debug.
titan : Solaris 8 running samba 3.0.31
aequitas : OpenSolaris running samba 3.2.0
I can do basics test just fine :
# /usr/xpg4/bin/date -u;/opt/csw/bin/findsmb

[LLVMdev] Build issues on Solaris
Good day Nathan,
If your using the stock GCC with Solaris, I am sorry to inform you its
broken, Please see:
http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html#brokengcc
Please be warned as your get miss compiles and things will do strange `stuff`.
As can be seen here, the reverse is true for both the GNU binutils and
XPG4 versions of `nm' :
-bash-3.2$ /usr/xpg4/bin/nm -p -u `find . -name

dsync problem: Error: Can't rename mailbox INBOX
Hi all,
I'm running two debian machines with dovecot 2.0.9 autobuilds and would like
to keep mails synchronized on both via dsync.
Mails are kept in maildir on both sides.
While syncing, dsync gives the following error:
dsync-local(jan.binder): Error: Can't rename mailbox INBOX to INBOX_a432bf2eca595a4dba47000043b078f4: Renaming INBOX isn't supported.

openssh 2.9p1 on Solaris 2.6 with AFS
hello,
I'm attempting to compile 2.9p1 on Solaris 2.6 with AFS support.
I am not using Kerberos aside from AFS. The installation notes state
that Kerberos IV is required by AFS. Since the Kerberos libraries and
header files do not appear to be distributed with AFS, I downloaded and
installed ftp://ftp.pdc.kth.se/pub/krb/src/krb4-1.0.8.tar.gz
./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh

Patch for print_svid.c
Hi !
I have a patch for print_svid.c, that enhances the usage of the
"printcap=lpstat" option under System V. It not only gets the
names of the printers via lpstat, but also the comments from
the unix printing system. It works under Solaris, and should also
work with SCO. I haven't access to other System V based systems.
I don't know if this list is the appropriate place to

B410P - BRI NT 100 Ohm terminator
Hi,
My set up is :
Asterisk with B410P in NT mode <-------------cat5 straight cable
----------------> Another PBX in TE mode
Is the 100 Ohm terminator you can find on B410P boards, necessary when
connecting in NT mode to another PBX (set in TE mode) ?
Cheers

survey package: weights used in svycoxph()
Dear R-help,
Let me know if I should email r-devel instead of this list. This
message is addressed to Professor Lumley or anyone familiar with the
survey package.
Does svycoxph() implement the method outlined in Binder 1992 as
referenced in the help file? That is, are weights incorporated in the
ratio term (numerator and denominator) of the estimating equation? I
don't believe so since

How to lower float charge voltage of an APC Smart UPS - corrected
My first posting had typos. Here is the corrected version:
You can lower the float charge voltage that APC Smart UPS units such as
SU1000NET or SU700NET supply to the battery. This is important to prevent
overcharging when when substituting Lead Acid Deep Cycle batteries for
the usual sealed maintenance free batteries provided. Instructions:
1) Only do this if you're fully trained and
